Light gold hue with lovely scents of lychee, mango, and yellow flowers. Balanced flavors of white fruit are as dry as Gewürztraminer can be in keeping with Hugel's always-classic styling.
Gewürztraminer is legendary for its slight spiciness and inviting floral aromas. These qualities make it to accompany spicy Asian dishes, and stronger flavors like smoked fish and strong cheese.
From the Winemaker: Intense, young, and lively with hints of pale green and straw yellow. The wine is bright and clear with unctuous tears that indicate a full body. Soft, aromatic, scented bouquet, showing opulence and body, flowers and fruit and spice. Dry on the palate, but round, soft, nicely harmonious and mouth-filling, with a long, rich agreeably aromatic finish.
About the Brand:
For over 370 years and with 13-family generations the Hugel family has unrivaled experience and knowledge of Alsace vineyards and winemaking. Known today for their passion and modern outlook, the dynamic Hugel family, located in the picture-postcard fortified village of Riquewihr, has earned a worldwide reputation for their Alsace wines. Hugel has pioneered much advancement in Alsace, including the early creation and classification of Grand Cru vineyards. Today, Hugel prefers not to use the Grand Cru designation, because the original boundaries and number of these vineyards have been expanded to include less-favored sites. House specialties include late harvest Vendange Tardive and Sélection de Grains Nobles wines, made with selected botrytis-affected grapes. From Hugel’s Grossi Laüe to Vendange Tardive, their wines are released only when the family agrees they are ready; the focus is ultimate quality. A first-time taste of these wines is a revelation.

"A subtle veil of Damask rose encloses peachiness on the nose of this wine. Although the palate reveals power and warmth, it cloaks it in subtle rose notes. The finish is just about dry. It's lovely and subtle." Wine Enthusiast
