Cartagena Gewürztraminer Cartagena

Cartagena is a classic example of Gewurztraminer located in the closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean in Chile on steep hillside slopes and thoroughly engulfed by the Pacific breezes and warm climate. The Cartagena wines are produced by Maria Luz Marin from the esteemed Casa Marin Winery in the Lo Abarca sub-region of the San Antonio Valley. This Gewurztraminer is aged entirely in stainless steel tanks allowing the undisturbed expression of the wine to shine. There are plenty of floral aromas with additional whiffs of sandalwood leading to a balance of citrus fruit, peach, and apricot flavors. The bright acidity and depth of character makes this dry-climate Gewurztraminer a classic pairing with Thai, Indian, and other spicy seafood dishes.
