Bell’s-Two-Hearted-Ale-IPA
Two Hearted Ale is defined by its intense hop aroma and malt balance. Hopped exclusively with the Centennial hop varietal from the Pacific Northwest, massive additions in the kettle & again in the fermenter lend their characteristic grapefruit & pine resin aromas. A significant malt body balances this hop presence; together with the signature fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast, this leads to a remarkably drinkable American-style India Pale Ale.

Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at racecar speeds, “the merry game.” Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. Pair Jai Alai India Pale Ale with Beef Empanadas, Deviled Crabs and other spicy dishes.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA

Dogfish-Head-90-Minute-IPA
What you have here is the only Imperial IPA in America inspired by a bowl of soup and a thrift store football game… Back in the 90’s, Sam was struck by a cooking show demo teaching viewers how to properly season soup through a process of continuous peppering. As it stewed and simmered, the chef added pepper in small but consistent doses, bringing through a unique bold taste and intense savory notes. If it worked for soup, why not beer?! Inspiration sparked and Sam knew that Dogfish needed to bring this idea of continuous dosing to our hop additions in the brewhouse. Enter our thrift store electric football game. If rigged at just the right angle over the brew kettle, and covered with hops instead of small dancing football players, the vibrating playing field would perfectly shake and shimmy the hops cascading down into the boiling wort at a consistent rate. Continual hopping was born! Continual hopping provided a beautiful balance to our Imperial IPA - allowing us to add a foolhardy amount of hops throughout the boil without making 90 Minute crushingly bitter. With rich pine and fruity citrus hop aromas and a strong malt backbone, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA created pungent, unapologetic flavor that led Esquire to call it “perhaps the best IPA in America.”

Sixpoint Resin

Sixpoint-Resin
Sixpoint Resin is one of the hoppiest beers available, relying on the resin in hop cones for its eponymous name. Self-admittedly, even brewmasters almost spit it out upon their first taste, due to the bitter sting of the hop resin. Bitterness is nature's way of indicating poison, so such a taste can inspire fear. But you shouldn't fear the hop cone. Instead, embrace it! Eventually, the "lupulin shift" occurs and you begin to crave what you once feared. A product of the Sixpoint Brewing Company from Brooklyn, New York, Sixpoint Resin is about celebrating everything that makes hops a quintessential part of a beer. Think of it as hop candy. You aren't quite sure when or why you started to love it, but it's a coming-to-God experience that either opens your eyes to the light or brings you to the dark side. Piney, hoppy and resinous, Sixpoint Resin clocks in at 103 IBUs, so if you aren't ready, bitter beer face may become a reality. If you know what you're getting yourself into, it's actually a slap in the face that feels oh so good. It uses dozens of different hops, so there's no one flavor that dominates. There's no foul in sipping it right out of the can or letting it breathe a bit in a pint glass. Just get ready for it to throw a taste uppercut that might knock you down.

As enjoyable today as it was in ‘93, IPA is a regional favorite and a craft beer classic. Styled after an English IPA but brewed with distinctly American hops, it’s citrusy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced– as perfect on a Cape Cod beach as it is in a VT ski lodge or Boston dive bar. This is New England's Original IPA.

Great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it, not just a niche group like us über beer geeks. So, when we developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, we took it as an opportunity to go a step further and do something we’d spent over a year researching and perfecting: creating a beer that makes it possible for nearly everyone to experience our aggressive, no-holds-barred approach to craft brewing. It’s a flavorful, cutting-edge, modern-day IPA for everyone. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops provide plenty of fruity citrus character and a burst of hop zing that sings on the palate. We’re proud to present it to those who already know us for our IPA prowess and to those who, so far, have only heard the legends.

A perfectly balanced India Pale Ale with a light citrusy note, Ballast Point Sculpin IPA is a trophy beer that harkens back to the brand's homebrew roots. Following years of experimentation, Ballast Point Brewing Company perfected its gold-medal winning IPA using five separate stages, all the while taking inspiration from hops, mango, lemon, peach and apricot flavors. Sculpin IPA is such a winner, in fact, that it's swept contests at the California State Fair, the World Beer Cup, the Great American Beer Festival and the European Beer Star Awards. While it certainly offers refreshing, fruity notes, this 7 percent ABV IPA packs a sting, just like the Sculpin fish for which it was named. Also known as the sea scorpion, the Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that give a strong sting, but the fish itself is considered one of the tastiest in the world. We can think of no better name for the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA!Thanks to its bright flavors and citrusy aromas, Sculpin IPA showcases the crispness of its hops. Even if you're not a fan of hoppy beers, be sure to give this crowd-pleaser a try. The bright and crisp Sculpin India Pale Ale pairs perfectly with Jamaican jerk chicken, seafood, coconut basmati rice and any cuisine with a hint of tropical flavor. Serve it chilled in a tulip beer glass to optimize the flavor and impress your guests, or enjoy it straight out of the bottle. We won't judge!

Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty

Dogfish-Head-Slightly-Mighty
Mighty hop character and just 95 calories … that can’t be possible. Oh, but it is! After a year of R&D and months of fine-tuning what seemed to be unimaginable, Slightly Mighty is finally here! This true indie craft beer has all the character of a world class IPA, but with only 95 calories, 3.6g carbs, 1g protein and 0g fat per 12oz serving. Seriously. But how? Digging deep into our culinary roots, we found our answer in an ancient Chinese delicacy - monk fruit. Sweeter than sugar per ounce, monk fruit amplifies the body and complexity of the beer, yet contains no calories. Whereas most IPAs start with a formidable malt bill to balance hoppy bitterness with malty sweetness, Slightly Mighty goes about it a different way – all through the magic of monk fruit. Most light beers are watery and lack body, but with Slightly Mighty, the monk fruit essentially acts as the beer’s skeleton, on which mighty hop muscle and flavor can be built. It allows us to reduce the malt bill and avoid any unnecessary unfermentable sugars, and consequently deliver a beer that is lower in calories and carbs, and perfectly balanced. The result is a hazy gold lo-cal IPA that throws tropical notes of pineapple, coconut, mango and citrus, all while delivering an aromatic hoppiness that makes it oh-so drinkable. Brewed with ‘lo-cal’ly grown malted barley, Slightly Mighty is dynamic and crisp with a refreshing hop profile.

It’s hard being the sequel, unless you wrote the original story. Inspired by the continual hopping process we invented with 90 Minute IPA, 60 Minute builds on that one-of-a-kind process and flavor, crafting a solid gold hit that’s found its own identity. Brewed using a boatload of intense Northwest hops, we boil this continually hopped IPA for a full 60 minutes, adding more than 60 hop additions continuously to create a bold and timeless flavor. Continually hopped to deliver a pungently, citrusy, grassy hop flavor without being crushingly bitter, 60 Minute IPA is a surprisingly sessionable IPA for the craft enthusiast. You’ll quickly see why this sequel has become our best selling beer, and why you’ll find yourself coming back to it again and again.

We took the traditional IPA, originally shipped from England to India in the 1700?s, and made it bolder and more flavorful – American Style. We’ve added new varieties of highly aromatic American hops to create a distinctive bitterness profile and an incredible hop character.
