Dark Rum

While it may look like Goslings Black Seal Rum is packaged in black glass, the bottle is actually clear. This is a rich and extremely dark rum that is a rich, deep amber color when poured. While pleasantly aromatic, Black Seal really distinguishes itself on the palate. Full-bodied and highly textured, it has delightfully full rummy flavors of vanilla, molasses, caramel and toast. BACARDÍ Black rum is a medium-bodied black rum, crafted with passion by the Maestros de Ron Bacardí. Plantation O.F.T.D (Old Fashioned Traditional Dark) is a high-strength blend of rums from Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica. Rich and warming with notes of spice, coffee, orange and clove, this is excellent in cocktails.

Named after Cruzan’s original sugar mill estate, this Estate Diamond® Dark Rum is expertly crafted to bring out the complex flavor of barrel-aged rum. Offering rich notes of oak and vanilla, this rum is ideal for slow sips or as a mixer in one-to-one cocktails. Mix up a Cruzan® Fig Pie cocktail by combining two parts Cruzan® Estate Diamond® Dark Rum with three-quarter parts orange juice, one-quarter part brown sugar syrup and one tablespoon of fig chutney in a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 15 seconds, double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with grated nutmeg and a fig.

A bit darker in the nose, more treacle and molasses but leavened with bright notes of vanilla parfait, leather, toffee and dark spices, earth. Similar in taste to the Anejo, it's a bit richer and darker in tone and taste. Like the top of a creme brulee that's spent a bit more time under the torch letting the sugars caramelize fully (but not burning it). Plenty of roasted caramel and dark sugars adding a soupcon of candied orange peel, cardamom, caramel cream and fresh toffee on the finish. Fantastic.

Coruba Original is a dark rum. It is aged in heavily charred oak barrels with caramel added for color and flavor. Coruba Original Blend is a full bodied rum with a robust flavor and hints of spices.
