A beer with this excessive amount of dank hops needed a sturdy malt backbone, making it almost too easy to drink. Massive amounts of Amarillo, Azacca, Cascade, and Glacier hops in three different dry hop additions provide intense fruitiness and spicy grapefruit hop aromas and flavors with low perceived bitterness.

Sour pumpkin ale brewed with local Rayburn Farm, roasted delicata pumpkins, cinnamon basil, and blue ginger

Brettaberry, a tart farmhouse ale, is inspired by freshly baked berry pie. Featuring a half-pound per gallon of strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, the acidity of the berries with the rustic funk of our house culture are rounded by the flaky crust finish of Haw Creek Honey, Riverbend Pilsner and wheat malts. Silencio is a sour black ale artfully aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The addition of Madagascar Vanilla Beans and El Silencio Coffee from local Mountain Air Roasting culminates in a complex and elevated sour ale.

Hunting, descending, and demolishing, Lieutenant Dank patrolled the galaxy to eradicate the Creators, who scoured the cosmos for new worlds to cultivate. Merciless, Lieutenant Dank rained hellfire onto their constant construction. Relentless through obsession, Lieutenant Dank pursued the Creators, plunging their glowing dreams into the blackness of an exploded star.

Mashed with custom pilsner malt from our friends at Riverbend Malt House of Asheville, North Carolina, along with heaps of flaked oats. Fermented clean and crisp until bone dry with our preferred house ale yeast. Aged on an uncanny amount of local carrots. Hopped intensely in the whirlpool and fermenter with mosaic, citra, and coconut-forward cashmere hops. Thanks to a happenstance supper time carrot shred while crushing an ipa, the flavors from both counterparts hummed and this unique root veggie ipa was born.

A deep amber-colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness. It has a universal appeal and is our workhorse, accounting for about half of our total production. This was our first beer and was originally named Celtic Ale in honor of the Scots and Irish who originally settled the Appalachian region. We had to change the name – unbeknownst to us, Bert Grant Brewery had trademarked “Celtic Ale." The term "Gaelic" more commonly refers to the language of the Celtic peoples in Scotland and Ireland and particularly to the Scottish Highlanders. The dark amber color is similar to a Scottish Ale but the flavor and body is more in the style of American Amber.

Brewed with organic flaked oats, dark chocolate and locally-roasted Sumatran and Ethiopian Harar coffee beans from Morrisville, NC's Muddy Dog Roasting Company, our Trappist-style "Breakfast" Dubbel is a smooth, silky, eye-opening take on a classic style, with floral aromatics of deep-roasted coffee, spiced fig and rich, creamy cocoa.

Chocolate-covered black angel is a dark, sour ale that we combine with 2 pounds per gallon of tart Montmorency cherries. After the beer rests in Kentucky bourbon barrels, we then blend it into steel tanks with another 2 pounds per gallon of Montmorency cherries and 100 pounds of Honduran cacao nibs from French Broad Chocolates. Give in to the darkness.

Stay in the zone with a low ABV beer that still packs robust flavor and mouthfeel. Brewed with nearly four pounds of hops per barrel and mashed with oats, Par 4 has a smooth and balanced body to even out the payload delivered by a bouquet of select West Coast hops.

The latest in our merging of hallowed Keller Pilsner with ominously forsaken IPA principles. Made from a blend of our favorite German Pils and dosed with Epiphany Craft Malt’s Oats. Double dry-hopped with Strata and Grungeist, our new favorites from US and German hop-breeding programs.

Get struck by coffee aroma and flavor with subtle spice and fruit notes. This coffee porter is brewed with 1.5 lbs of Dynamite Roasting coffee per barrel.

Hazy and slightly sticky, we brew this aromatic pale ale with local triticale, a wheat/rye hybrid.

The Event Horizon- an annual release. We barrel age an imperial stout in oak bourbon barrels, from several bourbon varieties, and blend the results. Dark and rich with bourbon flavors- once this beer grabs you you'll never escape. Winner of a World Beer Cup (R) 2012 bronze award in the Wood- and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category! Released each year in the late fall-early winter.

Balanced and crushable, Movin’ on Up combines Idaho Gem, Strata, Cashmere, and El Dorado hops for bright aromatics and a pleasant bitterness. Flaked oats and wheat allow the hops to shine. On the finish you'll notice tropical fruit notes and a hint of sweetness.

Our classic wee-heavy with pumpking spices & warm Tahitian vanilla

A beer constructed from our love for Asheville’s incredible wildflower population. Brewed with exclusively Riverbend Malt 6 row and wheat, alongside NC raised honey, this beer gets the majority of its flavor from the addition of seven herbs and flowers, ranging from heather, elderflower, passionflower, hibiscus, rose and chamomile. Enjoy a cornucopia of tea, orchard fruit, and floral aromas.

Montmaretto begins as a light amber sour. Aged in 325 liter cabernet barrels it then undergoes secondary fermentation on a pound per gallon of cherries. A portion of the beer was aged in barrels with almonds to impart an amaretto character to the final beer. The barrels were then blended until the perfect balance was struck.
