Bryggeriet Djævlebryg and the Danish Atheist Society have entered into an unholy alliance and the result is "Godless": This first batch is a somehow accessible imperial stout with its 8.9% abv. It offers burnt notes from the malt mingled with sweet nuances and a warming depth from the alcohol. Even though "Godless" was originally aimed at members of the Atheist Society, it is now available in more or less all our outlets.

High up in Alaska, where the bears rule, where the winters are long and dark, and where a man is a man that digs for gold. High up north, where you only go if you are in search of happiness and easy money. Or if you are on the run from the long arm of the law. Up there lies a brewery. In our opinion, one of the most exciting American breweries we have become familiar with for a very long time. Of course I’m talking about Anchorage Brewing Company.

Tuborg Green is a bottom-fermented lager brewed on a lager malt, with mild and fresh taste as well as the aroma of flowers and grain. It is medium rich and lively with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste.

This spontaneous fermented beer has been aged in Hungarian oak barrels and appears with a light amber color with almost no head. The aroma is huge and very vinous. A clear impression of oxidized apples is the first thing that hits you, which made us think of heavy old fashioned British apple ciders. The aroma also reveals the wooden notes from the barrels along with some burned toffee and spices like Star anise. It has a very heavy acidic profile at first, one that quickly slides into a smooth kind of sweetness. We taste green apples, carambola and very young green grapes. It has a certain lactic acidic touch and a creamy dry finish that lasts forever and bares the green impressions through. Some mild creamy blue cheese on roasted rye bread would work great due to both the lactic and acidity impressions in this beer.

Oatmeal Stout with Dark horse coffee. Roast forward, a complex malt profile. Brewed at Mikkeller San Diego.

Fruit ale brewed with strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, vanilla and lactose. A hommage to the best red fruit dish with cream. It's even better than the Little Mermaid when it comes to Danish halmarks.

Berliner-style Weisse beer brewed with Watermelon

A spiced collaboration edition between Amager Bryghus and Evil Twin of the Amager signature beer Hr. Frederiksen. In this version with vanilla, chili pepper and cinnamon added.

It's a stout hops like an India Pale Ale with clear bitterness and a dry finish. The beer holds 8.5% alcohol and small 80 IBU. It is brewed on Maris Otter Malt, smoked malt, British specialty and cane sugar. In both flavor and aroma, it is characterized by one of my favorite drums: Zeus (sometimes called Columbus or Tomahawk), used in the boiler along with Czech Saaz hops and alone as a dry hollow. It is delicious to drink now while the hops are fresh, but as it is embarrassed on the bottle, it certainly has storage potential, I think.
