Lois-Gruner-Veltliner
Lois (rhyming with “choice”) is named after the village of Langenlois and was one of the first high-quality examples of Grüner Veltliner to be exported to international markets in 1999. Its intent is an easy-to-enjoy, fresh-tasting style of Grüner Veltliner produced from a combination of estate grown fruit and contracted growers in Lower Austria. Grüner Veltliner’s bright acidity and savory character make it and an ideal partner to mildly spiced Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese dishes. Fish and shellfish are accented by Grüner Veltliner’s citrus and mineral profile while its acidity cuts the richness of pork or ham. It can also work well with foods that are difficult to pair such as bitter greens and asparagus.

Schplink-Gruner-Veltliner
As far as we know, there is no such word in German as Schplink. But if there's a bunch of consonants with one vowel and an umlaut, then any word can look Germanic. With electric yellow color, dot matrix font, and futuristic models from the 1980s, this box of Gruner will grab your attention and invite you into its digital world. However, the 11th generation winemaker Norbert Bauer is anything but a 21st-century phenomenon. The winery was founded back in 1721 in Pulkautal, Lower Austria, and is still going strong with traditional yet forward-thinking wines. In Schplink, Norbert & Gisela Bauer offer a Gruner that is so modern, refreshing, and tantalizing. The cool climate, hand-picked fruit (from vines that are up to 35 years-old) is fermented and aged in steel. Lightly fined and filtered before transferred to 3L boxes. Flavor Profile: Medium-bodied, dry. Bright lemon acidity, minerals, and aromatics that are perfect for hot summer days. Keep it in the fridge and pour yourself a glass or carafe to have with fish, mayo-based salads, cheeses, schnitzels, and sausages.

"If you have never tasted Grüner Veltliner before, this is a fabulous introduction. It has beautiful white peach aromas and flavours, with a seasoning of white pepper or even daikon, which is so characteristic of the variety. Great value! Weingut Pfaffl was awarded Wine Enthusiast European Winery of the Year in 2016"

This bright wine shows off aromas of fresh pear and crisp apple, with notes of melon and grapefruit. A trace of minerality, along with flavors of ripe stone fruits and grapefruit, follows. This Grüner is light bodied with a nicely balanced acid structure, and a juicy lemon/orange finish.

Gruner Veltliner represents about 70% of the winery's vineyards. This is an intense and concentrated wine offering pleasant citrus and grapefruit aromas, exotic tropical fruits with a hint of freshly ground white pepper. Full-bodied dry wine with a firm mineral backbone, giving it the strength of character to work well with many cuisines. "An outstanding bargain from this Austrian producer located in the southern part of Weinvertel, this should turn out to be a hugely popular wine, given the price point and the liter-sized bottle. Loads of wet rocks, crushed chalk and honeyed grapefruit as well as touches of apricots and apple skin are all present in this aromatic, light to medium-bodied, fresh, dry, zesty wine."

Von-Donabaum-Gruner-Veltliner-2015
Grüner Veltliner von Donabaum comes from two 25-30 year-old single vineyards in the villages of Halbturn and Andau, which are located between the Danube on the east and the Neusiedlersee on the west. The hand-picked and hand-sorted grapes are destemmed before crushing, and, after a cool fermentation in stainless steel, the wine rests for two months on its fine lees.

ensitive and eccentric in the way of the vine, the Grüner Veltliner is always a child of his origin. Consequently, the range of styles and flavors is immense and always linked to soil and starting rock, exposure and weather.
