Magnus celebrates Highland Park’s founder, Magnus Eunson, a butcher and church officer by day and bootlegger by night who set up his first illicit still over 220 years ago in an area known as the High Park in Kirkwall, Orkney. Magnus pairs the distillery’s legendary lightly peated style with maturation in carefully chosen American sherry oak casks for a beautifully layered character. Jura 10 Year Single Malt Scotch whisky is crafted in exceptionally tall stills and initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels for 10 years. The spirit is then further enhanced from a finishing in aged Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Perfect to sip neat or great to make easy cocktails with, Jura 10 is a versatile whisky.

Like all CLASSIC MALT Distillers Editions, this Talisker has been double-matured in a second cask after the original maturation period (in this case in an Amoroso Sherry cask). Talisker Single Malt Whisky is made from malted barley sourced from the Muir of Ord, a village in Highland, Scotland. The barley is lightly peated to approximately 18 phenol parts per million, which contributes a slightly smoky flavor profile to the whisky. Once the barley has been malted and peated, it is mashed using soft water drawn from one of the 14 underground springs that rise from Hawk Hill - Talisker has been using the same water source since it was founded nearly two centuries ago. "I'm restless at heart so you'll find me poking my nose into the mash tun at all hours," says Mark Lochhead, Talisker's Distillery Manager. After the barley has been mashed, it is fermented in the distillery's wooden washbacks before being twice distilled through Talisker's copper-pot stills. The stills are equipped with unique swan-shaped lye pipes and worm tubs. As a result of this configuration, a portion of the vapor during distillation condenses before reaching the cooler, and runs back into the still for redistillation. Flying up to the Orkney Islands in Scotland was a huge highlight for the BevMo! team. After multiple barrel tastings we settled on this one. Matured in a refill sherry puncheon for 13 years, the nose is filled with orange peel and dried fruits with a touch of vanilla, honey and a gentle peat smoke. To taste, the dried fruit flavors are joined with a touch of heather honey, spices and light aromatic smoke. Bottled at cask strength and limited to just 590 bottles.

Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.

This Ledaig 1996 Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky is some of the first spirit distilled when peated single malt production commenced at Tobermory Distillery in 1996. Peat-dried malted barley is married with naturally peat infused water from the distillery’s private water source, a dark aromatic lochan, high in the mountains above the village of Tobermory, ensuring an intense smoky flavorsome character. Matured in superior Oloroso sherry casks the result is a wonderfully peated single malt, with apple and a hint of mint with citrus aromas. These disappear into the dark as the peaty embers glow into a smoky finale.

This was distilled at the Isle of Arran distillery in July 1996 before a 16 year maturation in a single cask (number 663). It was bottled for the Dimensions range from Duncan Taylor in October 2012. A release of 307 numbered bottles at natural cask strength. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose: Hints of dried herbs and toasted barley. A very malty, inviting nose with a touch of berry fruit and hay. Palate: Malty, thick palate with notes of citrus zest and digestive biscuits. Apple peel and allspice. From the Norse ‘Valknut’ meaning ‘knot of those slain in battle’, this limited edition is a celebration of the Nordic belief in connections between life and death. The second edition in Highland Park's three-part Viking Legend series, this is the most intensely peated whisky Highland Park has ever released in the US. Unrepeatable single cask release from Highland Park created exclusively for Florida. This whisky has been matured for 11 years in cask no. 5260, a first-fill European oak sherry puncheon and bottled at cask strength and natural color. Limited to just 549 bottles and available only at select retailers in Florida.

Scapa's 14 year old Scotch has become a favorite over the years because of its affordability and sweet, smooth character. Now, to replace that expression, the distillery has released a slightly older, considerably tastier 16 year old Scotch. This new Scapa shows its extra two years with a velvety palate and is the pride of the 3-man distillery headed by Master Distiller Stuart Pirie. Scapa's 16 year old is a fantastically smooth sipper and worthy (and affordable enough) to be mixed in delicate Scotch cocktails like the Rob Roy and the Affinity.

The 1968 Orcadian Vintage is a rare release from the Highland Park distillery, matured over 40 years in Orkney’s unique maritime climate. The nose is thick with honey and spice, the palate redolent of dried orange peel and ginger, and the finish long, sweet, and spicy. The Highland Park 1968 Vintage has been bottled in bespoke black glass created by acclaimed glass specialist Stölzle Flaconnage. The handcrafted outer oak wooden box is finished with a silver amulet created by Orkney-based jeweler, Aurora.

It was first released as a limited-time bottling in 2009 and named the World's Best Single Malt Scotch Whisky in the same year. Over a decade then passed before Highland Park Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion finally deemed a selection of casks exceptional enough to match the quality of the original and re-released it. The whisky opens with aromas of sun-ripened plums, heather honey and aromatic peat smoke. On the palate, a delicate interplay of flavors balanced between stone fruit and aromatic smoke, with hints of vanilla and sweet spice leading to a lengthy and contemplative finish. Highland Park 21 Year Old is a singular dram that should be experienced at least once.

This 16 year old from the Isle of Jura was a bronze medal winner at the 2004 International Wine and Spirits Competition. Nose: Fragrant, slightly floral cereal, some minerality at first, becoming increasingly creamy with a hint of orange. Mixed nuts, redcurrant, green apple and finally dark chocolate and spice. Palate: Oily and resinous with sweet tobacco, mixed nuts, clove, milk chocolate and violet. Rich and round. Finish: Drying, fragrant oak. After a few sips some chocolate lingers too. Overall: The whisky of choice for the Isle of Jura's 200 or so inhabitants.

The nosing passes find scents of sea breeze, kippers, brine, leather, barley malt, light oakiness and tannin. Palate entry is dry at first then opens up with succulent tastes of smoked trout, green peppercorn and sea salt; midpalate is oily, salty, oaky sweet with some bitterness to balance the sweetness. Ends lean, sweet and delicious.

We take great pride in all of our whisky, but occasionally James MacTaggart, our Distillery Manager, discovers a cask that truly stands out as the finest example of the Distillers art and oak cask in perfect harmony. The influence of the cask on the final character of whisky is widely acknowledged and one of the key aspects of his job is to determine when the right balance between the spirit and the wood has been achieved. A special edition of Highland Park created to explore the similarities between making whisky and making music, 17 year old Full Volume illustrates the fine skills and decades long expertise of Highland Park Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion. Like a musician, Gordon must ensure every individual flavor note finds its perfect place in each expertly harmonized finished whisky he creates. To craft this special edition, Gordon used only American Oak ex-bourbon casks from 1999. The resulting whisky is layered with notes of creamy vanilla, fresh pineapple and sweet citrus balanced by Highland Park’s characteristic smokiness. Soren Solkaer 26 Years of Photography is a limited edition 26 year old single malt Scotch whisky created by Highland Park to celebrate the 26 year career of Danish photographer, Soren Solkaer. This special release has been handcrafted from a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak casks, first-fill Bourbon casks and refill casks, all carefully selected by Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion for their exceptional depth and flavor. Rich, spicy and gently smoky, this whisky delivers notes of cloves, cardamom and raisins, overlaid with the distillery's signature aromatic peat smoke. The finish is long and lingering. A very limited release of just 1,206 bottles worldwide, the sleek black bottle is accompanied by an exclusive 160 page photography book packaged in a bespoke leather embossed box inspired by an old-fashioned camera.
