Magnus celebrates Highland Park’s founder, Magnus Eunson, a butcher and church officer by day and bootlegger by night who set up his first illicit still over 220 years ago in an area known as the High Park in Kirkwall, Orkney. Magnus pairs the distillery’s legendary lightly peated style with maturation in carefully chosen American sherry oak casks for a beautifully layered character. Aromas of toasted cereal grain and preserved lemon balance a heathery plume of campfire smoke. On the palate, vanilla, citrus and chocolate lead to a smooth and gently smoky finish. Jura 10 Year Single Malt Scotch whisky is crafted in exceptionally tall stills and initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels for 10 years. The spirit is then further enhanced from a finishing in aged Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Perfect to sip neat or great to make easy cocktails with, Jura 10 is a versatile whisky.

Like all CLASSIC MALT Distillers Editions, this Talisker has been double-matured in a second cask after the original maturation period (in this case in an Amoroso Sherry cask). The experience is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings. This Edition has a very special bitter-sweet harmony where the peat softens on the palate to a rich, sweet, juicy fruit finish.

This 16 year old from the Isle of Jura was a bronze medal winner at the 2004 International Wine and Spirits Competition. Nose: Fragrant, slightly floral cereal, some minerality at first, becoming increasingly creamy with a hint of orange. Mixed nuts, redcurrant, green apple and finally dark chocolate and spice. Palate: Oily and resinous with sweet tobacco, mixed nuts, clove, milk chocolate and violet. Rich and round. Finish: Drying, fragrant oak. After a few sips some chocolate lingers too. Overall: The whisky of choice for the Isle of Jura's 200 or so inhabitants.

The nosing passes find scents of sea breeze, kippers, brine, leather, barley malt, light oakiness and tannin. Palate entry is dry at first then opens up with succulent tastes of smoked trout, green peppercorn and sea salt; midpalate is oily, salty, oaky sweet with some bitterness to balance the sweetness. Ends lean, sweet and delicious.

We take great pride in all of our whisky, but occasionally James MacTaggart, our Distillery Manager, discovers a cask that truly stands out as the finest example of the Distillers art and oak cask in perfect harmony. The influence of the cask on the final character of whisky is widely acknowledged and one of the key aspects of his job is to determine when the right balance between the spirit and the wood has been achieved. A special edition of Highland Park created to explore the similarities between making whisky and making music, 17 year old Full Volume illustrates the fine skills and decades long expertise of Highland Park Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion. Like a musician, Gordon must ensure every individual flavor note finds its perfect place in each expertly harmonized finished whisky he creates. To craft this special edition, Gordon used only American Oak ex-bourbon casks from 1999. The resulting whisky is layered with notes of creamy vanilla, fresh pineapple and sweet citrus balanced by Highland Park’s characteristic smokiness. Soren Solkaer 26 Years of Photography is a limited edition 26 year old single malt Scotch whisky created by Highland Park to celebrate the 26 year career of Danish photographer, Soren Solkaer. This special release has been handcrafted from a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak casks, first-fill Bourbon casks and refill casks, all carefully selected by Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion for their exceptional depth and flavor. Rich, spicy and gently smoky, this whisky delivers notes of cloves, cardamom and raisins, overlaid with the distillery's signature aromatic peat smoke. The finish is long and lingering. A very limited release of just 1,206 bottles worldwide, the sleek black bottle is accompanied by an exclusive 160 page photography book packaged in a bespoke leather embossed box inspired by an old-fashioned camera. The fourth and final installment in Highland Park’s sold-out Valhalla series, Odin is a single malt Scotch whisky worthy of its namesake, the formidable and commanding ruler of Asgard. Aged for 16 years in a combination of first-fill sherry casks and refill hogsheads, then bottled at cask strength. The oldest and rarest expression in the Orcadian vintage series, Highland Park 1964 is a marriage of just two casks hand-selected for their exceptional character, and bottled in 2009 after 45 years maturation. Highland Park Valkyrie is a celebration of the legend of the Valkyries in Norse mythology. Inspired by the mighty Thor, the most legendary of the Norse Gods, this whisky was the first release in Highland Park’s four-part Valhalla series. Increasingly hard to find, this 16 Year Old edition delivers powerful smoky notes reminiscent of Thor’s Hammer smashing against the Orkney Mountains of Hoy, carving the great wall of stone. The underlying sweet notes are inspired by Thor's inner strength and show that beyond his exterior warrior façade, there is still the caring, humble god that makes him a much loved legend.

In the mid-1960s Gordon & MacPhail took the unprecedented step of launching a range of single malts under the brand name ‘Connoisseurs Choice’. Until this time, many of the whiskies the range featured would not have been available as single malt. Today, 'Connoisseurs Choice' retains this exclusive nature with a range of rare and sought after single malts from distilleries throughout Scotland.

Situated in the Orkney archipelago in Northern Scotland, Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson. The name of the distillery is derived not from the region of Scotland known as The Highlands "” the Orkney islands are not a part of The Highlands "” but rather from the region known as High Park, where the distillery was founded.

The 1971 Vintage is a rare release of just 657 bottles, crafted from a small selection of extraordinary casks laid down in 1971 and bottled 40 years later. Decadent notes of dark chocolate, mango, marzipan and cloves are perfectly balanced by Highland Park’s subtle aromatic smokiness and culminate in long, gently spicy finish. The nose is quite clean and fresh. There is a mixed fruity sweetness with a spicy character. The peat and smoke rise with notes of perfume and thick oak. Hints of Calvados and a touch of acidity with ground ginger. The palate is thick and rich and full-bodied. Notes of spicy, peppery oak, espresso beans and wood smoke. A little allspice creeps in, there is a certain zesty character lurking somewhere. The spice builds and builds with utter intent. The finish is long and with peppery oak.
