#3. Dolin Dry Vermouth

57 ratings
Dolin Vermouths are notably lighter, drier and less pungent than their larger commercial counterparts. The particular mixture of plants found near Chambéry give a fresh, restrained and elegant nose, with a subtle, complex bittersweet palate. Even the Blanc and Rouge retain great balance, with the sugar never cloying, and just enough bitterness to whet the appetite. Each can be enjoyed as aperitif on ice, with a twist of citrus, or in a broad array of traditional cocktails.

#7. Fleur de Mer Rosé

32 ratings
Fleur De Mer is a classic French Provencal Rosé. A brilliant coral pink color, this crisp French wine evokes aromas of fresh watermelon, cherry, subtle citrus, lavender and Mediterranean herbs. This blush wine is medium bodied and balanced with refreshing acidity. Bright and beautiful, Fleur de Mer Rose is best enjoyed chilled. Fleur de Mer was made to inspire beauty and allure, bringing Provence to your table. The unique lavender label pays tribute to Provence’s famed fields of lavender that bask in the warm summer sun. This 375ml bottle equals 2 glasses, so it's perfect when you don't want to open a full bottle.

#8. Fleurs De Prairie Rosé

30 ratings
“Fleurs de Prairie” translates as “wildflowers,” celebrating the beautiful fields of wisteria, lavender, poppy, and sunflowers carpeting Provence. The wine is sourced from select Provençal vineyards that dot the coastal wind-swept hillsides of the region. The Mediterranean combination of sun, wind, mild water stress, and ocean influence provide ideal conditions for grapes to ripen to the perfect balance of flavor and freshness. Provence produced beautiful 2016 rosés due to the year’s generally mild spring and sunny, dry summer. The continuing drought impacted yields across the board, but quality remained high.

#9. Saint Cosme Cotes du Rhone Rouge

29 ratings
This wine epitomizes what should always be the essence of a true wine. One of the two properties from which grapes are sourced is owned by a childhood friend and the other belongs to my cousins. We have been working together on this wine for 15 years now. Trust and friendship form its basis. The blend of Syrah from Vinsobres with Syrah from Villafranchian terraces in Gard always produces wonderful balance, fleshiness and finesse. You may get to know the 2015 vintage through this wine – the oxblood color, the depth, sappy character and wonderful round tannins for instance. You can easily sense the intensity with which fruit was imbued in 2015, a truly superb vintage. Successfully ripened grapes combined with freshness and our Syrah vines loved a hot July in 2015. This is exemplified in the magnificent wines produced in 2015 in the northern Rhone valley. The whole point of our Côtes du Rhône is to offer an early drinking wine that also has very good aging capacity. I recently tasted the 2007 again which was really complex and still young. Welcome to 2015, the finest vintage since 2010. Blackcurrant, camphor, truffle, rose and blueberry.

#10. Louis Jadot Bourgogne Pinot Noir

27 ratings
It offers a colour of medium intensity, purplish in its youth changing to ruby and then garnet, after several years in bottle. It is harmonious and balanced, with a plump fruitiness and silky texture offset by round, gentle tannins in a wine of medium body and elegant structure. The very typical, fragrant varietal bouquet is complemented by a deliciously lingering finish. With this wine, you can enjoy grilled or boiled red meats, roasts, mild game, soft cheeses like Camembert and Brie.

A dashing combination of handpicked and machine-harvested grapes taken at their optimal flavor ripeness, then cold soaked, and put through a temperature controlled fermentation process to ensure maximum quality and fruit extraction.

#15. Gruet Brut Rosé

18 ratings
This nearly garnet Rose, like all our non-vintage sparkling wines, is aged 24 months en tirage. It has a lovely, bright floral bouquet with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is rich and fruity in a dry, Brut style. The flavor of berries continues on the palate, revealing more strawberry, raspberry, cherry. This sparkler is lots of fun and very festive, but production is limited to 5000 cases per year, so don’t miss out!
