An American IPA hopped with criminal disregard. Featuring generous additions of Cascade, Chinook, Centential, Mandarina and Ahtamun hops, followed by hints of Munich malt, Ponzi’s aroma writes checks that its flavor cashes. If it seems too good to be true, you’re probably drinking Ponzi.

Juicy, Hoppy, Fruity. A medium-bodied, aromatic, dry-hopped pale ale. Not quite an India pale ale, nor a typical American pale ale, we brew Raised by Wolves to highlight the rich flavors and aromas of hops rather than their bitterness. This beer has aromas reminiscent of lush tropical, citrus and stone fruits with a juicy body that you can sink your teeth into.

The nation’s capital and corruption often go hand in hand. In this case, The Corruption belongs in your hand or a glass. This award-winning beer uses a combination of Pale 2 Row, C-10, Honey Malt and Victory Malt with Columbus hops.

Brau Pils is perfectly refreshing for the dog days of summer, yet quenching and inviting all year round. It’s brewed with a German Heirloom Pilsner Malt and Hallertau Tradition hops.

The Public is DC Brau’s most popular offering and continues to be a sought after staple by imbibers and ale hounds in the nation’s capital. It incorporates Vienna & Medium Crystal Malts, and Centennial hops.

And so it was written.......According to Mayan and Hopi calendars the "transition from one world age to another" will happen on December 21, 2012. As an homage to the "transition" DC Brau has concocted an Imperial IPA named "On the Wings of Armageddon".

This collaboration with John “Solly” Soloman and Chris Frashier of Old Dominion fame presents a traditional German Hefeweizen that shines as the antidote to a muggy summer’s day. It includes 50% Wheat Malt and 50% Pale Malt with Hollertau Tradition hops.

The Citizen™ Belgian Ale is inspired by the timeless Tripel style ales of Belgium. Using a traditional high gravity "Abbey" yeast strain that encourages the production of highly palatable ethanol notes supported by Aromatic and "The Citizen" also exhibits the noble hop spiciness that is common to most Belgian Ales. Reigning in at 7.0% ABV this is the Brau's strongest offering in our flagship portfolio.

D.C. United, in collaboration with DC Brau Brewing Company, LLC, today announced that their limited-edition beer has been named “The Tradition.” Out of 534 entries in the “Brand the Brew” contest, Donald Wine II’s submission* reigned supreme, with midfielder Chris Pontius, defender Ethan White and defender Dejan Jakovic ultimately choosing the name for Washington, D.C.’s first-ever team-specific brew. While harkening back to the Black-and-Red’s rich history in MLS, “The Tradition” also tips its hat to DC Brau’s customary naming scheme of its beers, which includes “The Public,” “The Citizen” and “The Corruption.”

Turbo Boost Multiball is an Experimental IPA fermented with Voss Kveik, a Norwegian Farmhouse yeast, known to produce flavors that complement fruit forward hops that include Falconer’s Flight, Mosaic, Simcoe & Azacca hops.

Cherry LIme Rickey Gose is DC Brau’s third installment of our kettle-soured beers that we’ve produced to date. This Gose was created to pay homage to the Rickey which was originally created here in DC at a bar named Shoomakers in the 1880s by George Williamson. Cherry Lime Rickey Gose has a great mix of heavy cherry flavors, supported by a nice, sharp acidity compliments of the key lime, and the classic sour and subtle salty flavors of a traditional German-style Gose. Aromas of tart cherry coupled with a playful lime zest character lead to a fruit-forward beer with balanced acidity.

Bare Bones is a traditional German-style Kolsch ale, light and crisp with just a hint of hop character for a clean, refreshing sip every time.

Dance of Days is a pale ale generously hopped with beautiful and bright Citra and Mosaic hops. We add wheat malt to the grain bill of the Pale Ale to give the beer a robust body and silk mouth feel that perfectly compliments the floral and citrus flavors from two of our favorite hops. Named in homage to the DC punk scene, this well balanced Pale Ale has hop flavor and aroma for days.

DC Brau's Oktoberfest has a classic light amber to copper hue that is topped with intense German malt aromas of toasty bread, light caramel and faint biscuit. It's supported by a traditionally light Noble hop aroma that complements the rich malty notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a medium body that gives it a pleasing richness. The hops perfectly compliment the dominant malt character to form a very refreshing Oktoberfestbier that can be enjoyed all thru the fall months.

As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. But in DC Brau’s case, this month’s latest release is a playful purple hued potion with a puckering punch of lemonade. The brewery’s new Lavender Lemonade Berliner Weisse will be available beginning Saturday, May 18th at the brewery. “At a very drinkable 4.5% ABV, this purple sour is perfect for picnics, patios & parties throughout the summer,” says DC Brau Brewmaster & co-founder Jeff Hancock. “I’d pick up a pack pronto!” Brewed with Chico yeast and Falconers Flight hops, this approachable sour ale gets its kicks from bucketsful of dried lemon peel and lemon puree. Perfect when paired with salty and savory snacks, like popcorn, pretzels or pickles, the Lavender Lemonade Berliner Weisse will be packaged in 4-packs of 12 ounce cans designed by local DC watercolor illustrator Marcella Kriebel, as well as on draft within the District of Columbia and at the brewery. Lavender Lemonade Berliner Weisse is a light and refreshing ale with hints of lavender and strong notes of lemon that add a slight tartness to this purple hued brew.

Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and it's a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

Barrel fermented sour w/ honey

Named after the silent era Scandinavian documentary on witchcraft, Häxan is brewed with an assortment of roasted malts and oats. Full bodied with round notes of coffee and dark chocolate.

Diamonds Are Forever is highly sessionable, with a soft and pillowy mouthfeel laying down a pleasant base to let the hops shine. Double dry hopped with Amarillo, Mosaic, and Citra notes of fresh tangerine, peaches, and grapefruit dominate this easy drinking hazy pale ale.

In a year marked by protests and marches, DC-based artist Alden Leonard chose to “show the juxtaposition of PRIDE, which is both a celebration and an act of protest” when designing his entry in the 2018 Pride Pils Can Design Contest presented by DC Brau and The Washington Blade. His colorful design, featuring three figures in “defiant poses with their eyes fixed on symbols of tradition and order,” will appear on more than 28,000 cans of DC Brau’s flagship pilsner this summer during PRIDE. All proceeds from the sale of Pride Pils cans benefits SMYAL & The Blade Foundation.
