Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard water is drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic chocolate malt and real organic cocoa used in this ale impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate that will lead to smiles and refills. Samuel Smith's brews in traditional coppers, uses stone 'Yorkshire Squares' for fermentation, and ships every bottle from the brewery with great pride.

Ingredients: Pale ale and crystal malt, chocolate malt, special blend of sugars, Fuggle and Goldings hops, real dark chocolate and chocolate essence. Chocolate malt and real dark chocolate are combined with Young’s award winning rich, full flavoured dark beer to craft a satisfyingly indulgent, but never overly sweet experience.

After 200-plus years of making the world’s most popular dry stouts, we decided it was high time to brew a sweeter style. So, our American brewing team in Baltimore, MD developed a milk stout, meaning a stout brewed with lactose (aka milk sugar), which imparts a sweet creaminess to the beer.

The Temptress is seduction in a glass. Curvy in all the right places, this Imperial Milk Stout pours with a thick milk chocolate head. Chocolate and caramel malt give it a rich and complex body, while the lower carbonation gives the beer a silky mouth feel. If you’ve ever been to our brewery, you’ve likely seen the old, beat-up truck that hauls away our spent grain. That truck belongs to Lugene who’s been feeding his dairy cows the hearty malt for over a decade. Named in his honor, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout is brewed with milk sugar and milk chocolate. The rich and creamy brew reminds us of a cold glass of chocolate milk and our hometown “Aggie” roots.

Mole Merkin is a complex yet delicate beer with flavors of earthy chili pepper, cinnamon and cocoa. A smooth, chocolaty stout with its own distinctive kick. We took our Velvet Merkin Milk Stout and used it as a base. Aged it in Bourbon Barrels, and created the perfect blend of ingredients traditionally used in making a Mole dish. Eric Ponce, Barrel Program Manager, drew from his Mexican heritage and Grandmother’s recipes for inspiration behind this beer.

Outlaws and gentle folk alike are captivated by this dark beer. It marries the deep coffee-like flavors of roasted barley with a silky texture contributed by rolled oats.

Abide with The Nitro, or White Russian Nitro, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing. White Russian Nitro is takin’ er super smooth for all us craft beer drinkers out there. There’s a beverage here that’s for strikes and gutters; ups and downs. And, I don’t know about you, but I take comfort in that. With coffee, vanilla and notes of chocolate, this is a beer that really ties it all together. But, well, that’s just, like, our opinion, man.

This magical stout, dry hopped with crushed candy canes and with a light lactose addition is chocolaty smooth and a refreshing peppermint finish. In the spirit of Festivus, a beer for the rest of us!

The biggest question we get is “seriously, how can this be 9 percent”? Silky smooth with notes of roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and toffee; our Fur Slipper is a fusion of the traditional Milk Stout with the rich tones of a Russian Imperial. We use a mash tun busting combination of 8 grains with Magnum and East Kent Goldings hops to balance the additional milk sugars. The first time we brewed it, we sat in silence with our eyes closed just to breathe it all in. We do that a lot… don’t judge us.

How do you make icing on the cake even more decadent? You put chocolate covered cherries on top! Chocolate Cherry Icing on the Cake is our newest dessert imperial milk stout. It is conditioned on cacao, vanilla, and tart Montmorency cherries. Upon first sip, we’ve entered the chocolate factory with our golden ticket. It tastes exactly like gooey dark chocolate truffles and chocolate covered cherries. The tan foam presents with a hint of pink!

Dark roasted malt and bittersweet cocoa and coffee flavor and aroma burst from this pitch black milk stout. The full body and sweetness are derived from the addition of lactose (aka milk sugar) which is not fermentable by beer yeast.
