A brilliant light yellow color. The very pleasant expressive and complex nose opens up with floral and slightly woody notes. The attack is bold and precise, then on the palate, this wine is full and harmonious. It has a certain vivaciousness, which gives it good length on the palate and very long-lasting aromas. The hamlet of Blagny is located high on the hillside above Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault and represents an entirely unique terroir. This 1er Cru vineyard is located directly adjacent to the 1er Cru “La Pièce Sous le Bois” and overlooks the vineyards of Perrières and Champ Canet in Puligny-Montrachet. About the Winery: Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley combines the principles of modern winemaking methods with the time-honored traditions that have been practiced for centuries within their 19th century cellars. Each terroir and each vintage, benefits from special attention which makes the cuvées unique. Each bottle therefore becomes the faithful reflection of its terroir. Critical Acclaim: 2018: (90-92) points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate “The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Blagny (Maison) exhibits aromas of citrus oil, crisp green pear and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and charming palate that's elegantly textural and rounded, concluding with an enlivening mineral finish.” William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Totally classy and refined. There is a bit of a honeyed quality that gives the Puligny considerable textural richness and viscosity for a village level wine. A soft, seamless finish rounds things out in style. This is a gorgeous showing from Sauzet." (Elegant, Citrus, Mineral, Cream, Full-bodied)

Jadot-Pommard
Often considered the most "masculine" Côte de Beaune red, Pommard is a firm, full-bodied wine that is nevertheless exceptionally round and generous, with a fruity depth of character and a bouquet suggestive of raspberries, leather and earth. Pairs well with hare and other small game, beef braised in wine, or strong cheeses such as époisses, livarot and pont l'evêque. This wine can be enjoyed immediately or within 10 years of the vintage.

After three very small vintages what Burgundy urgently needs in 2014 is quantity. Our prayers may have been answered: the 2014 vintage is very promising with good yields! After another year of surprising weather, September lived up to its reputation and played its part to the full in terms of ripening the grapes. In the springtime, the 2014 vintage looked like being an early one and the vines profited from the hot and dry weather, which indicated an abundant harvest and healthy vines. In summer, the sun appeared to have gone on vacation elsewhere, and the advance gained at the start of the cycle was soon lost. However, despite the wet and chilly weather, maturation began to gather pace at the end of August. The Burgundy winegrowing region, like France’s other winegrowing regions, experienced a few pockets of sour rot. The plots of Pinot Noir were subjected to strict sorting, both in the vines and in the winery. This occasional phenomenon was localized in an otherwise very healthy year. The harvest began in mid-September in the sunshine. The grapes brought into the wineries were ripe, healthy and aromatic. 2014 will be an excellent year for white wines in the Burgundy region. Their clear-cut, precise structure promises good keeping potential. Red wines offer intense colors, a fruity nose, and concentration in the mouth, with smooth, pleasant tannins, and lovely notes of fresh fruit. They are wonderfully sophisticated, hinting at all the qualities of great red Burgundy wines.

Our winemaking is practical and is based on Burgundy practices and tradition. That is to say that there are no great wines without great grapes; thus our focus is on the vineyard and the work necessary to harvest the ripest grapes possible. Each growing season is different and we respect what nature gives; we harvest when the grapes are ready (not when it is convenient for us) and use the grapes indigenous yeasts. We understand that wine is as much a living product and is the vine.

The name Remoissenet for serious collectors stands for refined, classic Burgundy wines. A leading light in Beaune for generations, the estate today—with new management and fresh talent in the cellar—is now more than ever the definitive source for the best Burgundy has to offer. On the nose, there are aromas of apples, citrus, light honey, fresh nuts. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, savory; flavors of lemons, red apple, white peach.

Distinctive, concentrated fresh fruit and vanilla aromas carry on to the palate and culminate in a persistent, lingering finish. Puligny produces wines with greater firmness and depth than those of Meursault, and greater refinement and delicacy than those of Chassagne.

Blain-Gagnard-Chassagne-Montrachet-Caillerets-2013
Les Caillerets is located at the southern end of the village and sits above Les Champs Gain at an elevation between 250 and 280 meters. The name “Caillerets” refers to the chalky soil found here which contributes to the elegance and finesse typical of wines from this site, and is from vines planted between 1954 and 1987. Old vines contribute density and concentration to this white premier cru that is otherwise known for its elegance. It has aromas and flavors of yellow apples, white peach and with firm acidity and layered minerality. Aging in 30% new Burgundian pièce brings notes of vanilla and toast.
