In light of the extremes of weather from one end of the growing season to the other, this vintage alone suffices to illustrate the dexterity, responsiveness, and expertise of the Yquem team. Overcoming the effects of poor weather (said to be unsurmountable by some...), they coped perfectly with harvesting each plot at the optimum moment.

An exciting vintage, where Yquem's diverse terroirs played a major role in juggling sugar levels that varied between rich, botrytised grapes and those less affected by noble rot, but full of amazing flavours that contributed enormously to the wine's aromatic complexity. The cellar team still remembers the heady fragrance that emerged from the winepress.

The nose is clean with a hint of lemon richness, the palate continues with fresh citrus and concentrated grapefruit flavours. The finish is pleasing with a balance of fruit and soft acid. A great match to any shellfish.

Hunter Valley, Australia- Vibrant pale yellow/lime in color, the wine is typical of a younger Semillon showing clean, rich characters with slight citrus and lemon overtones. The palate has good fruit intensity with a soft, rich, lingering aftertaste of lemon/lime and honey (Crisp, Citrus, Lemon, Light-bodied)

Vibrant pale yellow with a green hue, aromas of limes and citrus are abundant on the nose and carry through to a seamless long and elegant palate denoted by flavors of white peach and citrus peel.

On the palate, Château d’Armajan is bright. Thick and full bodied, it features dried apricot and sweet orange peel, with almond blossom and honey. The Indigenous Series 2015 Semillon is a new style of full bodied table wine that will be completely unfamiliar to those who think they know ‘Semillon’. It owes its character to the Three Hills Vineyard in the extreme south of Margaret River which produces fruit that is golden and flavoursome at harvest, very different to that in vineyards designed for mechanisation. The result is a full bodied flavoursome food wine, generous in its alcohol content, gutsy in its mid palate weight, food friendly, intriguing in its composition and long lived. This is a red drinker's white wine.

Lemon zest, white peach, roasted spice on the nose with dominant floral notes that just adds to the lifeliness of this wine. The palate shows tremendous complexity with cassis, citrus, a chalky minerality and a gripping waxy mouthfeel. It shows a remarkable structure and tight mineral acidity underneath its weighty texture accentuated by the extended lees contact.

Rich, luscious, balanced. 100% estate grown dessert wine

An elegant choice with a floral and citrus bouquet followed by a lovely smooth mouthfeel lined with bright grapefruit, mineral, lilac, and a slight biscuit flavor. The wine has a pleasant and persistent finish. Pair this Graves white with cream sauce, seafood and crisp vegetables.

Sourced from 30 year old vines on the Wahluke Slope, this intriguingly dry white wine was fermented on the skins of the grapes, a technique ordinarily reserved for reds only. At 6 years at release, the colour is bright yellow/green. This vineyard on the flats on Oakey Creek Road has produced the majority of our reserve Semillons over the years. The aromas are pure Hunter Valley Semillon – part lemon grass and part toasted almond. Similar characters on the palate, texture from the bottle age and nougat and mandarin peel flavours will develop further with bottle age. A superb zesty finish.
