A modern style emphasizing the softer Pinot Noir-like Characteristic of Pinotage. The wine is ruby-garnet red with a hint of purple. Our Pinotage shows pleasing aromas of mocha and roasted coffee beans, followed by juicy flavors of red berries, nutmeg, and vanilla spice on the palate. The sweet fruit flavors of this medium-bodied Pinotage make it an ideal match for spicy food, pizza, smoked pork and flavorful venison dishes delicious just by itself Serve at a cool room temperature.

Suitable for vegans from a Carbon Neutral and Sustainable winery. Ripe mulberry and sweet strawberry flavours are complimented by subtle undertones of dried herbs. This Pinotage has a juicy mouth-feel with supple, tannins.

Planted on the highest slopes of the Paardebosch farm, in the Paardeberg, these dry-land farmed bush wines were planted in the 1990’s. Starting every season with the harvesting of Pinotage, these early ripening grapes allow for great freshness to be achieved as it escaped the heat waves of the Swartland during the rest of harvest. Long, but delicate extraction during fermentation and then matured for only eleven months in older French oak barrels.

Youthful purple, fresh in colour. A coffee, mocha explosion with dark chocolate, rich black fruit, almonds and black cherries on the nose. All these elements follow through adding complexity and depth on the palate. Light to medium body with firm, well integrated tannins. Lovely fruit and wood balance, this wine is made to enjoy young.

South Africa - A deep purple tint on the rim with delicious flavours of ripe strawberry, banana, juicy plums and rich, red cherry. Produced in an early drinking style with well-integrated wood and a soft, smooth finish. Enjoy now with roast beef, fowl, roast chicken (Intense, Strawberry, Red Cherry, Full-bodied)

An elegant wine offers a palate of plum and raspberry with savoury notes on the finish. A very impressive Pinotage made using cooler climate fruit and serious winemaking skills to give a restrained but full-bodied wine.

This wine shows a complex nose of red fruits, vanilla, exotic spices, and rich dark chocolate aromas. The palate is full flavoured and smoothly textured with oriental spice, chocolate and roasted banana flavours. Our Pinotage is ready to drink, but will also benefit from another 5 years’ cellaring.

The wine is inspired by fond memories of the Almond Orchard through which the young Sir De Villiers Graaff would go horse riding with his grandfather. A perfumed, accessible and elegantly balanced wine with a bright cherry plum red colour. Caramelised banana and vanilla pods on the nose are aptly supported by black cherry and blueberry aromas, with hints of fennel, clove, cardamom and pepper (Chinese five spice). On the palate, a smooth entry is followed by sweet and sour dried cranberry with nuances of mulberry and mocha.

The earliest archaeological evidence of barbecue (Braai) is found in South Africa. On September 24th of each year the country celebrates Heritage Day, which in 2007 was renamed Braai4Heritage as a testament to its cultural importance in South Africa. The essence of braai is captured in this Pinotage, South Africa’s only native grape that is a hybrid between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, a perfect pairing for meat cooked over a wood flame. Brimming with juicy dark fruit and a bright, balanced acidity.

Two remarkable, old vineyards were chosen for this interesting example of Pinotage. The first vineyard is of old bush vines on the Helderberg mountain. The second vineyard comes from the Voor Paardeberg, where the sandy granite soils produce wine with lovely tension and superb texture.
