Triple Eight Distillery is excited to announce the launch of Nantucket Craft Cocktails. After a few years of experimenting on Nantucket, Triple Eight introduces Nantucket Cran and Nantucket Blue. Bully Boy’s aged whiskey uses corn, rye, and malted barley as its primary ingredients, and is aged in new American Oak. The corn makes for subtle sweetness, and the high rye content creates a dry spiciness; the flavors are further refined through the barrel-aging process, which imparts both a prominent caramel note and a nutty finish. Bully Boy Distiller's Amaro is a riff on the classic bitter liqueur. It took us two years and hundreds of batches to arrive at the recipe. We settled on a combination of over twenty six different botanicals, all of which contribute to the patchwork of flavor and aroma. The bitter backbone comes from a combination of hops, including Amarillo, Cascade, Citra, and Galaxy. It's complimented by a pop of grapefruit, and its rounded out by earthy and floral notes, including yarrow, rhubarb root, and fig. There is just enough sweetness to make it all work, and at 58 proof its soft enough to sip neat but robust enough to use in cocktails.

It all begins with organic ingredients—juniper, coriander, eucalyptus, lavender, and lemongrass. We carefully analyzed the molecular composition of each one before using a gin still to vapor-extract the flavor compounds. Boston Rum grew out of our desire to resurrect the city’s storied history of rum production, which dates back to 1667. Colonial Americans had a healthy appetite for rum, and much of the original spirits was distilled in Boston. Made with blackstrap molasses, our Boston Rum has a bold flavor, which is created using deeper cuts on the still. It’s aged in a blend of used bourbon and red wine barrels, and the final product has a fruity complexity, a subtle vanilla note, and a bit of sweetness.

Our Ouzo is made in the southern Greek tradition using star anise, anise seed, and licorice root. By using star anise as the primary ingredient, we produce a softer, naturally sweet spirit that allows for minimal addition of sugar. Do as the Greeks do and enjoy it as an apertif. Our Navy Yard rum is a nod to Massachusetts' storied history of rum distillation. Made in the New England tradition from 100% Molasses, it is double distilled and aged in charred, new American oak barrels for a minimum of 2 years. Each expression of our Navy Yard is from a single barrel and at barrel strength. We bottle the spirit directly from cask, so what the distillers taste in the barrel is what you taste in your glass. Flavors include dried apricot and figs, mango, cinnamon, clove, brown butter, and cigar box.

Angelica is a new type of liqueur. Flavored with angelica root, cinnamon, orange peel, and cloves, Angelica starts with an earthy sweetness and ends with spicy cinnamon. You've never tasted anything like this before.

At Ryan & Wood, Inc. we begin the process of creating "knockabout" gin by combining Juniper Berries, Coriander Seed, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Orange Peel, and Licorice root, stalwarts of many gin recipes. Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cassia and Lemon Peel are added. The gin is distilled in small batches using our custom built copper pot still.

Simple ingredients done well with appreciation for essential quality was our top aim in creating this blend of 2 to 8 year old rums. As we tasted through our cellar, we discovered our maturing barrels had the potential to make a richer, deeper rum blend suited for easy-to-reach, everyday occasions. After casks are selected and carefully blended, we proof them with aged water and re-cask the rum into old oak barrels to mingle, marry, and create a harmonious flavor profile. Finally, we harvest these rested barrels and bottle. This rum expresses our evolution in pushing for deeper flavors, richer concentration, and a richness that is at once accessible, generous, and sincere. Introduced in the spring of 2003, Triple Eight Orange is unlike any other flavored vodka on the market. Most other flavored vodkas are made with chemical extracts.
