The St. Bernardus Abt 12 is the pride of our stable, this Abbey ale is brewed in the classic 'Quadrupel' style of Belgium's best Abbey Ales. Dark with a full, ivory-colored head. It has a fruity aroma, full of complex flavours and excels because of its long bittersweet finish with a hoppy bite. (10,0% ABV) Worldwide seen as one of the best beers in the world. It's a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet. One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren.

The Rochefort brewery is located inside the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Saint-Rémy, near the town of Rochefort, and has been brewing beer since 1595. The Rochefort '10' is a world classic beer. Our interpretation of a Belgian style quad, Four Ale is reddish brown in color and has flavors of raisin, candied fruit, and plum. We brew this beer with four malts (Caramel, Munich, Carapils, and 2-row), four sugars (Cane Sugar, Date Sugar, Belgian Dark Rock Candi, and Molasses), four hop varieties (Perle, Hallertau, Tettnang and Czech Saaz) and undergoes four fermentations, using four different yeast strains. The result of this elaborate brewing process is a complexity of flavor, aroma and mouth feel we believe is truly worth savoring.

In 2009, the Koningshoeven brewery reinstated an age-old tradition: aging La Trappe Quadrupel in oak barrels (also known as ‘barriques’). This way of aging ale results in a unique, complex flavour.

POUR HARD!! This Quadruple is brewed with 5 different types of malts and one peeled and roasted barley. We used nitrogen instead of CO2 for a better result. Nitrogen provides a rounder taste and a better mouthfeel. Cheers!

Day of Doom is a 12% Belgian Quad with rich malts as well as notes of dark fruits and dark sugars. This Quad is most definitely a big beer with big complex personality to match. Masterson’s Rye is the highest rated Rye whiskey via whiskey bible at 96.5 points. It was also given high praise in whiskey advocate last year at a 90 point rating. When given the opportunity to hand select a single barrel version of this Rye last year we jumped all over it. Masterson’s has become one of our house favorites for sure. The 4th Anniversary Ale releasing this month is a Belgian-style Abbey Quadrupel with figs. Crafted in the traditional style of Trappist monastery breweries, this year’s Anniversary Ale was aged in oak barrels with figs: an ancient and sacred fruit. “This massive dark beer is heady with dark fruit aromas along with deep caramel notes and a deep malt backbone. The delicate spiciness of the traditional Belgian yeast adds character along with influence from the oak barrels producing an overall complexity,” says Director of Brewing Operations, Mike Hastings. Boasting an impressive 11% alcohol by volume, this beer will age well and hold its own for any holiday celebration. Bottles and gift packs will also be available for purchase in all of Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company taprooms as well as select retailers in the Central Coast of California.

Big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it with a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wine glass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine ale.As with any higher alcohol beers, QUAD will be at its best after a period of 12 months or so in the bottle, perhaps longer. We expect a shelf life of 3 – 5 years, but go ahead, we know you can’t wait. In Belgian brewing there are fantastic wild ales brewed with naturally occurring yeast. These beers develop over time and are ready on their own terms. Duck Duck Gooze is our homage to these effervescent and wonderfully complex sparkling beers.A blend of young and old barrel aged beers, this has been one of our most sought after beers year after year since it’s original release in 2009.Alas, it is released in very small quantities only once every three years, so it’s extremely difficult to come by beyond the day we release it. It does, however, turn up on our Tasting Room’s Vintage List from time to time, so don’t despair.

The name ‘Barista’ conjures thoughts of the fragrance of steaming coffee below a layer of expertly created froth. This may sounds rather far-fetched for a beer... However, the aromas and the flavours of caramel, cacao and roast malt match seamlessly with the ‘black gold’ and chocolate. This Belgian-Style Quadrupel is a beer bigger, bolder, and boozier than its sister styles Dubbel and Tripel. Ruby brown in color with a richly vinous palate, this ale is ripe with flavors of stone fruit, sherry, and spice, after four months of aging in Port wine barrels. An exceptionally creamy mouthfeel masks a subtle, but distinct, alcohol warmth – each sip is sweet but not cloying, potent but not heady – a brew fit to be savored in the coldest winter months. Silver Medal Winner GABF 2019 - Deep amber in color, a nose of malt, fruit and a touch of smoke. Taste notes of brown sugar, plums, grapes, cherries, raisins, coriander and chocolate. Medium-full bodied with a long, dry fruity finish.

At a Glance The Beer: A fresh track, Track 8 is a spicy monster — A base of Judgment Day aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels then spiked with liberal additions of cinnamon stick and dried chili pepper. ABV: 13.7% Released: August 18, 2012 Liner Notes We’ve never released a Bourbon Barrel version of our Judgment Day. So we thought it might be interesting to take the base beer for Cuvee de Tomme age in first fill Bourbon Barrels and let mother nature take over. Of course, because this is a Rock and Roll inspired Box Set beer, we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. Upon sampling the base beer, it became apparent that the raisins used to brew the base beer were going to drive the flavor bus of this beer. The conversations turned to Oatmeal Raisin cookies and the essence of a freshly baked treat. So we added some cinnamon sticks to the barrels and threw in some dried chiles as well. At 13.70 ABV this beer has amazing depth of flavor and presents a unique drinking experience for consumers who may be seeking enlightenment on Judgment Day.
