In a nod to our 19th century brewing traditions, this limited edition beer was barrel-aged and naturally cooled in our historic ice caves located deep below our 1860s brewery. Before the days of refrigeration, our caves were used to keep the beer cool during the lagering process and today they still can serve that same purpose! Number 4 in the series, this batch was aged in bourbon barrels from Four Roses distillery and has hints of sweet caramel, oak, and vanilla.

One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews. Carnegie Porter was brewed for the first time in 1836 and tastes the same today as it did then. Carnegie Porter has a creamy head with a scent of coffee. Its sweet and wellrounded flavor is balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Storage helps the flavor mature and enhances its harmony.

The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Thirsty Trout is a rich, robust American Porter. Dark brown in color with medium to heavy body and hints of light roast. Aromas of chocolate leave way to a full mouthfeel and somewhat sweet finish to make this porter a desirable companion.

'Stout' for many years meant a Porter of substantial strength and at several times and places in history the term 'Double Brown Stout' has signified a variety dark, strong brews. Our favorite is the Scandinavian or Baltic version, emphasizing the chocolate-y and dark dried fruit character over the burnt or ashy roast flavors of some its cousins. Unlike most members of the Stout and Porter family, our DBS is fermented with a lager yeast (rather than ale), whose cleaner fermentation profile allows the malt and hop flavors do the talking.

Complex and drinkable, Sea Legs delivers flavors of roasted malt and chocolate. Sea Legs was aged in Bourbon Barrels for nearly 12 months adding toasted vanilla and bourbon notes to the flavor profile. This Medium-bodied Baltic Porter has a complex malt profile and mild hop bitterness. With a hidden ABV of 8%, Sea Legs is a siren of a beer.

This beer is that is robust, roasty, and rich with minimal hop bitterness. Lager yeast provides a clean fermentation profile, accentuating notes of dark fruit, toffee, and nutty caramel derived from a complex malt bill.

Green Tree Coffee used to be our neighbors, thankfully they are not far away now. We use their hand roasted coffee combined with the Wrecking Ball Baltic Porter to create this beer.
