This wine epitomizes what should always be the essence of a true wine. One of the two properties from which grapes are sourced is owned by a childhood friend and the other belongs to my cousins. We have been working together on this wine for 15 years now. Trust and friendship form its basis. The blend of Syrah from Vinsobres with Syrah from Villafranchian terraces in Gard always produces wonderful balance, fleshiness and finesse. You may get to know the 2015 vintage through this wine – the oxblood color, the depth, sappy character and wonderful round tannins for instance. You can easily sense the intensity with which fruit was imbued in 2015, a truly superb vintage. Successfully ripened grapes combined with freshness and our Syrah vines loved a hot July in 2015. This is exemplified in the magnificent wines produced in 2015 in the northern Rhone valley. The whole point of our Côtes du Rhône is to offer an early drinking wine that also has very good aging capacity. I recently tasted the 2007 again which was really complex and still young. Welcome to 2015, the finest vintage since 2010. Blackcurrant, camphor, truffle, rose and blueberry.

The Columbia Valley Syrah is a soft, jammy Syrah made in an approachable and fruit forward style. This is an enjoyable, easy-to-drink red.

Our 2010 Syrah displays bright blackberry, wild-berry, flowers, mocha, pepper and our signature sage spice. The silky finish lingers from the ripe tannins with a touch of smoky oak. A traditional pairing for this wine is a rack of lamb marinated in rosemary and garlic.

Deep ruby-red in color with violet nuances. The nose is very expressive with aromas of ripe blackberries, figs, crème de cassis, and hints of leather and dark chocolate. The palate is well balanced with bright acidity, smooth tannins, ample structure, and generous volume. The finish is long and considerably complex.

This Syrah shows umami in spades: a velvety structure with fine tannins, black pepper, and olive purée. A small percentage of Mourvèdre and Viognier round out the grape’s floral aromas & earthy notes.

Aromas of dark berries and stone fruits, coco, and a hint of black licorice. This is an elegant wine showing supple tannins and pleasing acids resulting in a silky mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

Olivier Ravoire Crozes Hermitage is an intense ruby color. The wine has a deep and intense bouquet with notes of black fruit reminiscent of blackcurrant and spice. A smooth yet powerful wine that is elegant and well-0structured.

Dalton's Canaan Red, a blend of several varieties including Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz. A medium-bodied red wine bursting with flavors of forest fruit, berries and hints of vanilla and cloves. Canaan is an easy drinking wine and can be enjoyed with most types of food such as pasta, pizza, poultry, and mixed grills. Serve at room temperature, 61 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit.

It has a superb firm tannin structure and a long, balanced finish, ensuring a long life in the bottle.

A great example of Coonawarra Shiraz showing raspberry and mulberry fruit characters and nuances of black pepper found only in wines created from old vines. Time in bottle will see even more complexity develop, with an increase in cedar and savoury characters. The grapes were gently crushed and fermented in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. 4 tons of our Syrah Noir clone was barrel fermented; another 6.5 tons was fermented in open-top micro bins to extract deep color and flavor. Native yeast was used on 75% of the ferments to add complexity and richness. Tanks were pumped over twice a day until nearly dry, then pressed and aged in oak barrels for 21 months. We like to use an assortment of French, European and American oak and only 22% new to avoid over-oaking. We blended in 9% Cabernet Sauvignon to give the wine depth, richness and improved structure.

Washington State Syrah has it going on. The Boomtown Syrah has classic notes of blueberry, juicy black raspberry along with subtle hints of herbs de Provence. To sum it up; new world fruit meets old world complexity.
