Our Single Vineyard collection is inspired by the Herzog family’s ongoing commitment to sourcing and prospecting new vineyards. With innovation and creativity, we are able to explore the intricacies of terroir and the uniqueness of time and place in the vineyard. For us, this is hands-on, artisan winemaking at its best. The Dry Creek Valley appellation lies north of the San Francisco Bay and 20 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. The rocky soil of its ancient hills drain exceptionally well – helping to stress the vines late in the growing season, and concentrate the flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This single vineyard displays a rich velvet ruby color with aromas of blackberry, cinnamon and spice. Bold flavors of black raspberry in the finish with silky notes of vanilla.

Bursting with ripe, red fruit flavors upon entry, our Musician’s Zinfandel displays delightful holiday spice notes mid-palate and a bold, black peppercorn finish. Entirely complex, this 100 year old vineyard continues to produce exceptionally flavorful wines. On the nose, scents of pistachios, black cherries and cocoa. The aromatics gracefully flow into flavors of bright red raspberries and dried herbs. Bold and soft, this is a beautiful example of Amador County Zinfandel. Drink December 2014 - 2019. VINTAGE The vintage of 2012 had more of a normal weather pattern. Unlike 2010 and 2011, the harvest proceeded without any significant rainfall. There had been fears of another short harvest due to cool weather in the critical months of April and May 2011 when bud development for the next year occurs. We need not have worried as a large crop was forthcoming. Many growers had 20 to 30% more fruit than their averages and much higher than in 2010 and 2011. Still there was plenty of heat to ripen this crop and a long enough season to get everything picked and through fermentation.

This vibrant Sauvignon Blanc expresses the best of the Sonoma Valley appellation with refreshing aromas of Meyer lemon intermingled with a touch of minerality. Crisp citrus fruit flavors fill the palate followed by an elegant and fresh finish.

The oldest petite sirah vines on our Lytton Estate were planted in 1901 and the youngest in 2008. We made our first wine from the property in 1972. In 2002, we began bottling portions of the petite sirah as a separate wine for a limited release, up until then it had always been included in the Lytton Springs Zinfandel. In 2003 we made another limited release and in 2009 our first national release.

Our Syrah comes from one of our favorite spots in all of Dry Creek Valley - Famighetti Vineyard. Mark and Sheila Farmer, along with their vineyard dog Elsa, farm a small benchtop of these syrah vines almost 1,000 feet high above the valley floor. Syrah is a popular food wine, and you’ll love the versatility of our 2015 vintage.

Ripe blackberry and plum aromas lead to touches of oregano, pepper and smoky oak. Berry flavors combine with tobacco and dried herbs, typical of the Dry Creek Valley terroir. A long earthy finish with lasting fruit is simply elegant. Good acidity and medium tannins lead to great aging potential. Obviously this wine has no connection to a world famous British Special Agent. It’s simply the name of a vineyard block Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon

The Sauvignon Blanc vineyards are located in the scenic and bucolic setting of the historic Dry Creek Valley. This pedigreed region has long been known for great Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards unique combination of soil, sun, and fog help retain the clean flavors, luscious ripe fruit, and exceptional acidity. Zanon Sauvignon Blanc is made in the classic crisp and refreshing Dry Creek Valley style. Aromas of Meyer lemon with nuances of freshly cut grass mingle with flavors of passionfruit, green apple, and grapefruit. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine should be enjoyed upon release or within 1-2 years as no aging is required.

Ridge has made the East Bench as a single vineyard wine since 2006, one of the few Ridge zinfandels that is 100% zinfandel. The vineyard sits high atop the bench land that overlooks Dry Creek Valley from the east.

Deep purple. Toast intermingled with smoked meats. Flavors of black cherry, plum and currants, with hints of violets.

Aromas of blackberry, black current, hints of plum, cherry, and chocolate, with an underlying floral component of violets Taste of sweet blackberry and cassis, pomegranate, plum, hints of chocolate and licorice. One of the most intense and complex Dry Creek Zinfandels we’ve made, with dark chocolate and black pepper spice underlying the velvety, intense midpalate and the balanced, sweet red-fruit finish.
