Pale straw in colour, the 2012 Y Series Viognier has aromas of honeysuckle, candied ginger and glacé pineapple that typify this exotic variety. The palate is rich in texture and body thanks to wild yeast fermentation and ageing on lees, yet retains a refreshing quality that make it a pleasure to drink. Flavours to be found on the palate include fresh pineapple and lychee.

Viognier is a white grape variety indigenous to the Rhône Valley of France. We are so taken with this beautifully aromatic varietal that Zaca Mesa have dedicated over 20 acres of our vineyard to Viognier. The Zaca Mesa Viognier has aromas of honeysuckle and white peach. The palate has notes of ripe apricot, lemon-lime, melon, lychee and a lingering touch of minerality, a signature characteristic of their vineyard.

Welcome to our first ever all-estate grown and bottled Viognier from Bergevin Springs VY. Af- ter admiring the bright pale-yellow color, your senses are aroused by aromas of citrus and flowers - orange blossom, honey, spice, so nice! The mouth-watering acidity of the first sip is quickly countered by a viscous mid-palate - a weight and balance very common to great Viogniers. Flavors of dried apricots and a whiff of white pepper are both youthful and fresh, and very complex, which makes it a very food-friendly, summer-friendly wine; Pair with Crab Cakes, Lobster Eggrolls, or apricot cheesecake.

Our Oregon Viognier is sourced from southern Oregon, bringing stone fruit aromatics and freshness to the wine. This wine is aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and concrete egg, allowing for richness and texture on the palate. This white wine has aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, and peach. The palate opens with crisp green apple and mandarin flavors with exotic flowers, followed by a dense and creamy texture.

Fresh, floral white with pretty notes of nectarine, lemon blossom and pear. Subtle and restrained, with a textured, mid-weight palate that brings to mind ripe stone fruits, pear, lychee and Bergamot oil. Gentle and round, with a clean, dry finish.

The common style of Viognier in Australia is a very rich one with overt dried apricot characters. The Yangarra Viognier is much more restrained, and picked earlier with the ambition of fragrance and finesse. Yangarra is a biodynamic wine farm in the northeast of the McLaren Vale region in South Australia. Our philosophy centers around producing single-vineyard wines from the best varieties of the southern Rhone, as our estate’s rare geologies, moderate altitude, abundant sunshine and cool evening breezes make it perfect for varieties that thrive in moderate maritime environments. Our respect for this special piece of country is shown in the wines we make, every one is a confident reflection of the nature of this land.

Located at the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, Washington, Charles Smith opened his first winery, K Vintners, in December of 2001. The first release, 1999 K Syrah from Walla Walla Valley, initiated the style of winemaking that Charles continues today: small lots of single vineyard Syrahs and field blends of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Tempranillo, and Viognier, all of which are hand-picked, fermented with naturally occurring yeasts and basket pressed.

This Viognier garners a bit of a cult following, and we understand why. Naturally fermented, deftly oaked in old barrels, and picked in a narrow window of ripeness to show delicate floral and stone fruit aromas. A small batch stunner from the slopes of the Simonsberg.

A vibrant varietal with intense aromatics and flavors of tropical fruits and honey. Medium bodied with loveable lingering finish.

On the nose, you will find the subtle suggestion of white flower, Mirabelle plum, as well as the honeyed character of apricot and an unnamed highly exotic tropical fruit. These flavors carry through to the palate, coupled with further elements of citrus peel and clove. While reasonably sweet (165 g. of residual sugar), the wine is not at all cloying in virtue of its impeccable acidity. The wine will of course work exceptionally well as a dessert wine, especially paired with fruit desserts, but for sublime elegance, consider it as an apéritif with foie gras, or if you’re averse to that concept, perhaps a rich trout mousse.

It's full-bodied and exhibits flavors of honeydew melon, apricot, white peach and pie crust, finishing with citrus and vanilla notes.
