Verdejo

Made from Verdejo (white) grapes - Sauvignon Blanc are interlocked in the Gorgorito Valley, situated in one of the most southern zones of our vineyards that give the name to this wine. The characteristics of the ground make for a balanced Gorgorito wine, ideal for any occasion; with an adapted calibration perfect for pairing with pastas, seafood and white meat.

Viticulture: Certified natural organic. Achievement of independent grape harvests in accordance with composition of soils and yield management. Harvest: Three distinct types of harvest: Green, manual daytime & mechanized and night time harvest. Using carbonic snow from the very moment it is picked up to the when it is pressed, allows it to develop without the addition of sulphur. Alcoholic fermentation: Occurs in stainless steel tanks with the natural yeast (spontaneous, belonging to the grape), under controlled temperatures of at 18-22ºC. The tanks are of different capacities allowing the separation of the different bunches, conforming to the differences in structure and composition of the soil. Late maturity of the wine with its lees during this controlled time. Stabilization: Clarification with benitone, natural stabilization against the cold, filtration.

This is a refreshing white wine made from Verdejo grapes from the Rueda region of Spain. The wine has a brilliant pale straw yellow color with green accents. It is clean on the nose with green apple, peach, melon, citrus and crisp flowery tones. The “Viura” gives a touch of white flowers and the “Sauvignon Blanc” is giving tropical fruits notes (passion fruit, pineapple and mango). It is smooth on the palate, with a very crispy acidity. Good body and structure given by the elegant “Verdejo” grape. It finishes with soft fruit, flowers and a lively acidity that makes it very attractive. This goes perfectly with smooth cheeses, spicy rice (paella) and of course, with all kinds of fish and seafood.

The grapes that give rise to this wine come from vineyards where they work according to the criteria of organic farming, in a balanced, respectful and sustainable way. The cultivation soils take center stage, since they are very active, with good biological conditions that facilitate a rapid assimilation of the reincorporated organic matter, which allows obtaining all their expression from them.
