Melior Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine produced by the winery Bodega Matarromera in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid), D.O.Ribera del Duero. Bodega Matarromera was created in 1988, when Carlos Moro decided to build his own winery in Valbuena de Duero, in the heart of D.O. Ribera del Duero. In this same area, called the "golden mile" Bodega Matarromera has more than 200 hectares of their own vineyard, with vines of different ages, mainly cultivating the variety of the region, the Tempranillo or Tinto Fino. They have different farms to make their single-vineyard wines, apart from their classical wines, qualified in the D.O. as Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva. Bodega Matarromera's wine warehouses are semi-buried in the north hillside of the Duero Valley, where more than 2,000 oak barrels rest for the ageing of their wines. They also have state-of-the-art technology, without leaving behind the traditional know-how of the area. Melior Sauvignon Blanc is a wine made from Sauvignon Blanc, from two different farms in Pozaldez and Valdestillas, located at 750-800 metres of altitude on loamy-sandy soils. Once the grapes have been harvested, they ferment using the traditional vinification process for white wines, in stainless steel deposits for 10 to 14 days at a controlled temperature,16°C. Melior Sauvignon Blanc is a light, aromatic and fresh wine. The varietal aromas and its pleasant acidity in the mouth stand out.

This is a refreshing white wine made from Verdejo grapes from the Rueda region of Spain. The wine has a brilliant pale straw yellow color with green accents. It is clean on the nose with green apple, peach, melon, citrus and crisp flowery tones. The “Viura” gives a touch of white flowers and the “Sauvignon Blanc” is giving tropical fruits notes (passion fruit, pineapple and mango). It is smooth on the palate, with a very crispy acidity. Good body and structure given by the elegant “Verdejo” grape. It finishes with soft fruit, flowers and a lively acidity that makes it very attractive. Marqués de Riscal has 225 hectares of the indigenous Verdejo variety planted in the Rueda region that produces the very best varietal examples available. A bright, straw coloured wine with great aromatic intensity. Notes of fennel and fresh grass are evident along with the dominant tropical nose and palate. A smooth texture and slightly crisp, bitter finish make this wine extremely pleasing and a perfect match for a good antipasto plate.

Viticulture: Certified natural organic. Achievement of independent grape harvests in accordance with composition of soils and yield management. Harvest: Three distinct types of harvest: Green, manual daytime & mechanized and night time harvest. Using carbonic snow from the very moment it is picked up to the when it is pressed, allows it to develop without the addition of sulphur. Alcoholic fermentation: Occurs in stainless steel tanks with the natural yeast (spontaneous, belonging to the grape), under controlled temperatures of at 18-22ºC. The tanks are of different capacities allowing the separation of the different bunches, conforming to the differences in structure and composition of the soil. Late maturity of the wine with its lees during this controlled time. Stabilization: Clarification with benitone, natural stabilization against the cold, filtration.

Beautiful yellow robe with glints of gold. An intense nose, fresh and grassy. Notes of ripe white-fleshed fruit, freshly cut hay and dried flowers. On the palate it is structured and viscous with a good balance. It is long on the finish with an interesting aromatic complexity.
