From winemaker Adam Mettler, this opaque purple-colored 2012 exhibits gorgeous aromas of camphor, blueberries, blackberries, licorice, toast and subtle background smoke.

On the nose, notes of tea leaf, cherry cola and earth tones add richness and depth to the first impression of the wine. Bright cherry, red currant and ripe fig mingle with toasty herbal tones, all combining to create a silky and smooth mouthfeel. To perfectly compliment the fruit, the wine was aged in American oak for 12 months, creating firm tannins that balance the supple and lingering finish.

This wine epitomizes what should always be the essence of a true wine. One of the two properties from which grapes are sourced is owned by a childhood friend and the other belongs to my cousins. We have been working together on this wine for 15 years now. Trust and friendship form its basis. The blend of Syrah from Vinsobres with Syrah from Villafranchian terraces in Gard always produces wonderful balance, fleshiness and finesse. You may get to know the 2015 vintage through this wine – the oxblood color, the depth, sappy character and wonderful round tannins for instance. You can easily sense the intensity with which fruit was imbued in 2015, a truly superb vintage. Successfully ripened grapes combined with freshness and our Syrah vines loved a hot July in 2015. This is exemplified in the magnificent wines produced in 2015 in the northern Rhone valley. The whole point of our Côtes du Rhône is to offer an early drinking wine that also has very good aging capacity. I recently tasted the 2007 again which was really complex and still young. Welcome to 2015, the finest vintage since 2010. Blackcurrant, camphor, truffle, rose and blueberry.

Our Bota Box Shiraz is a medium bodied, succulent wine offering complex aromas of blackberry, plum and white pepper. On the palate, the wine forms a soft, supple mouth feel, bursting with blueberry jam and cherry. Bota Box Shiraz is perfectly paired with grilled meats, slightly spicy foods, or aged cheeses.

Criminally intense vanilla aromatics are balanced with ripe raspberry and plum fruits. Full and round bright-red wine with crimson hues that give way to subtle sweetness on the palate.

2011 was an unusual year in South Australia. The 2010 drought finally ended, leading into a cooler than average growing season. For Shiraz, slower development means deep, rich, concentrated flavors while still maintaining great balance and acidity. The aromas of cocoa, warm spice and dark fruit are very powerful from the first sniff. In the mouth, the wine is layered with rich blackberry, dark cherries and hints of dark, creamy chocolate ganache. The finish lingers on, hanging on your palette while the fruit and spice flavors slowly change and fade.

The aromas of watermelon, grass, wet stones and citrus still dominate and they carry through the palate, but in a more dynamic way finishing with bright acidity.

Boom Boom! Syrah Red Wine is a mouth filling, rich and totally satisfying red wine blend. Explosive aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, white pepper and savory herbs dance on the nose.
