Taylor-Tawny-Port
Although best known for its legendary Vintage Ports, Taylor’s is also one of the most respected producers of 10 Year Old Tawny Port. This style of Port is fully matured in seasoned oak casks each holding about 630 litres of wine. Here, over many years of ageing, the wine gradually takes on its characteristic amber ‘tawny’ colour, slowly developing the complex mellow flavours and the smooth luscious palate which are the hallmarks of Tawny Port. Taylor’s blends its magnificent 10 year old tawny from its extensive reserves of old cask aged Ports matured in the firm’s cool and tranquil cellars (known as ‘lodges’) in Oporto on Portugal’s Atlantic coast. Taylor’s 10 Year Old Tawny is a superb example of the aged tawny style. Mellow and elegant, combining delicate wood notes with rich aromas of mature fruit, it is bottled for immediate drinking. It is the best selling 10 Year Old Aged Tawny Port in the UK.

Warrior is the oldest mark of Port in the world, having been shipped continuously since the 1750’s. The name Warrior was branded on the casks of Warre’s finest Reserve Ports since the earliest days of the firm. The traditional style has been maintained over the years and it is today a classic full bodied wine with wonderful richness and balance. Warrior is drawn from Warre’s finest quintas in the Pinhão and Rio Torto valleys that produce Warre’s Vintage Ports. The firm’s head winemaker, Charles Symington, will select vats of particularly rich and fruity Port to set aside for maturing in oak casks in the lodges at Vila Nova de Gaia.

Taylor-Fladgate-Fine-Ruby-Porto
Taylor’s Fine Ruby a blend of full bodied Port wines aged for around two years in large oak vats in Taylor’s cellars, or ‘lodges’, in Vila Nova de Gaia. As they age, they gain smoothness and elegance while retaining their fruitiness, intensity and youthful ruby colour. They are then blended together for balance and consistency. With its firm tannins and concentrated fruitiness, Fine Ruby is perfect for the classic port-and-cheese combination. It is particularly good with blue-veined and richly flavoured soft cheeses. It also pairs well with berry fruit and dark chocolate flavours and, like all red Ports, makes an excellent after dinner drink.

Graham’s-Tawny-Port-10-Year
"10 Years" indicates and average age – this Aged Tawny Port is a blend of older wines, which offer complexity and younger wines, which bring fresh fruit flavors and vibrancy. During their long maturing period in oak casks, Aged Tawnies undergo subtle color changes: the deep red hue which characterizes Port's youth gradually gives way to a paler reddish amber color. Graham's is known for its rich, elegant house style. This 10 Year has a full, nutty bouquet, the classic Graham's richness and a soft lingering finish.
Grahams Six Grapes Porto

Grahams-Six-Grapes-Porto
Graham's Six Grapes Port has always been the quintessential port, the one that people start with and the one they keep going back to. When I first tasted it I was astonished to find such a deliciously sweet yet balanced wine with so much concentration. As the years went on and I became more familiar with the port category I have grown to appreciate all the styles from vintage to tawny and colheita, but I keep coming back to Six Grapes. It offers pure hedonistic pleasure and there are times when wine doesn't need to command 100% of the attention in the room. Six Grapes is never flashy, trying to grab too much attention but it's a wonderful demure and comforting companion in any setting.

Serve it in a glass with at least a six ounce capacity so that you may appreciate the wine's aromas. Dow's Tawny is delicious with soft ripened cheeses, flan or fruit tarts.
