A black stout which is brimming over with roast malt flavours, balanced with a complex hop blend. Really smooth with roasted aftertaste.

All the vibrant hop flavour of a West Coast IPA, but a bit softer on the taste buds (and your head the next day) We’ve brewed it to be light, aromatic and moreish by adding ridiculous amounts of Citrus, Simcoe and Centennial hops late in the brew so that it’s packed with tropical grapefruit, berry and lemon zest character.

Our IPA is an explosion of aromas from Cascade, Centennial and Mandarina hops. Think orange, grapefruit and pine turned up to eleven. Its fully charged, hoppy character is perfectly balanced by a sweetness from the Munich malt.

This son of a Gunn is the frutiest number we have ever brewed. We've taken the frutiest hops we could find, turned them into an IPA, then added a mountain of mangoes. So good it seems to have its own soundtrack (check out Son of a Gun by JX). Citrus fruits and sweet mango. Light, fresh with tropical fruit flavours. Silky smooth with lingering hoppy bitterness. Rich Gold color.

This little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 6 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. This explicit ale has more hops and bitterness that any other beer brewed in the UK. This is an extreme beer rollercoaster for freaks, gypsies and international chess superstars.

With a deep golden to amber color, Ballantine India Pale Ale is delightful to behold after a lively pour in its characteristic “tulip” pint glass, with a strong foamy head. At 7.2% ABV and with 70 IBUs of bitterness, this refreshing brew is unique among IPAs in that it has been both dry hopped as well as includes hop oils imported directly from the United Kingdom in order to capture the balanced but defined hop flavor of Peter Ballantine’s original brew. Originally aged for over a year in oak barrels, our innovative proprietary brewing method ensures that every drop of Ballantine IPA comes in contact with American oak. First introduced in America in the late 1800s, Ballantine IPA was a beer for connoisseurs. It has been credited as an inspirational influence for the present day craft beer revolution in America. Handcrafted by our master brewers, this delightfully hoppy brew resurrects its deep heritage and storied past to embody an IPA worthy of the original Ballantine name. For well over a century, the interlocking Borromean Rings showcased on our label have come to signify Purity, Body, and Flavor, just like the delicious Ballantine India Pale Ale inside. We hope you enjoy it.

India Pale Ale first made its name in the 19th century. Here’s hoping our pioneering IPA can make its mark too. Its fervent hoppy character hails from the unique addition of large quantities of hops at three separate points during brewing. The result is a beer that’s rounded yet refreshing, with delicate floral notes and oodles of zesty freshness. Colour Pale gold Smell Freshly mown grass, clean grapefruit and pine trees Taste Rich vanilla from the oak, with lots of zestness and a light bitterness from the hops Finish Full bodies, but still crisp and refreshing.

Black Douglas was a famous Scottish Knight and trusted friend of Robert the Bruce. The Bruce and Black Douglas first met only a few miles from the site of Broughton Ales in the Scottish Borders. We like to think that the dark ruby colour and the full bodied malt flavour of this ale reflect the power and strength of this great Knight.

We’ve collaborated for the first time with Tullamore D.E.W., bringing together the very best of Scots and Irish craftsmanship to launch Kindred Spirits. Together we have brewed a Scottish Stout and then aged it using Tullamore’s D.E.W.'s legendary triple distilled barrels creating a rich flavour packed beer with notes of dark chocolate and coffee alongside delicious hints of vanilla and oak. And the barrel ageing means that the aftertaste is smooth, seductive and long.
