Tenacious Traveler Shandy has a fairly thick, soapy, white head, an opaque, wheaty-orange appearance, lots of fierce, streaming bubbles, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of a spiced candle and possibly bread. Taste is very spiced (not hot), and one is met with intense ginger, some clover honey, and sweet bread. Mouthfeel is full and heavy, and Tenacious Traveler Shandy finishes sloppy, sweet, rich, and spiced.

Shangrila was the first creation from Birrificio Troll. It is of dark amber color and has a persistent head and with its 8.5 alc./vol. it warms the palate and the heart. Shangrila is brewed using malt, English hops and a mixture of spices from the Himalayas: tandori (Blend of coriander, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, ginger, cardamom, saffron), curry, pepper, anise. Shangrila is a complex full bodied beer with exotic scents and an intense flavor. Shangrila is a perfect companion for meats of every type, especially ones grilled over charcoal. It also pairs very well with fine cheeses.

Overall flavors of light to medium-dark caramel-like sweetness, toasted nuts and bread, very light cocoa and woodsy hop character, and modest ethanol behind all else. Front of palate tastes sweetness from light to medium-dark caramel, a bit of toasted bread, and very light cocoa and woodsy hop character. Mid-palate tastes quite sweet, as from medium-dark caramel, a bit of toasted bread and nuts, light cocoa, slight woodsy hop bitterness, and mild ethanol (particularly as the beer warms). Back of palate is still sweet with medium-dark caramel and a bit of toasted bread, but there's also a modest increase in the woodsy hop bitterness and a touch of spicy, anise-like ethanol. Aftertaste of sweetness as from light caramel, toasted bread and nuts, a bit of woodsy hop bitterness, and faint cocoa.

O’Fallon Imperial Pumpkin is a new approach to our well-known Pumpkin spirit. We created an entirely new recipe and chose to brew a Wheatwine, a style similar to Barleywines in that they are big and malty, with rich, toasty malt and subtle toffee flavors. The difference is that the base malt for Wheatwine is wheat instead of barley, which adds a creamy depth and mouth feel to the beer. We also kept the hops subdued to focus on the spices…cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and Madagascar Vanilla. Coming at 10% ABV and 50 IBU’s, this Brewer’s Stash Imperial Pumpkin will taste even closer to a slice of Pumpkin Pie than our original Pumpkin Beer, but be careful — the strength of the beer is hidden in its smooth and creamy flavor.

Every fall we produce our pumpkin ale, brewed with 60 kg of pumpkin as well as molasses, demerara sugar, crushed cinnamon sticks, pureed ginger, and crushed whole cloves and whole nutmeg – and oats for body. The result is pretty much pumpkin coloured, and very smooth and creamy. Close your eyes at the nose and you think there is a slice of pie on a plate in front of you, but when you fill your mouth the perception is more like pumpkin cheesecake, full of delicious flavour and mouthfeel.

Shipyard Applehead is a crisp, refreshing wheat ale with a delightful apple aroma and subtle cinnamon flavor. This beer is available in 6-packs, 12-packs and on draft. 'We asked Pumpkinhead fans what other flavors would they like to see and their answer was apple,' said director of sales and marketing, Bruce Forsley. 'We listened to what our fans asked for and created Shipyard Applehead. Master brewer Alan Pugsley has combined the subtle sweetness of cinnamon and apple with a clean, refreshing wheat ale to create a whole new beer experience.'
