Acidulated white wheat, raspberries and an inoculation of lactobacillus in the fermenter give this American ale its tart, fruity taste. Low hop levels let the special sour flavors dominate, and rice syrup helps yield a particularly light finish and body. This is a real summer refresher.

This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn't quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is stimulating and refreshing, with a citrusy berry aroma which transitions to a subtly sweet and tart finish. - Pairs well with Day Drinking.

Napoleon’s troops referred to Berliner Weisse as the "Champagne of the North" due to its lively and elegant character. Today this style is described by some as the most refreshing beer in the world. Our approach was to brew this beer with Lactobacilius for a refreshing and authentic interpretation of a classic summer refresher.

Glazed is a Berliner Weisse style sour ale with huge notes of tangerine, mango, peach, and Tongan vanilla.

Laced with rhubarb and apricot, Full Frequency is the second in our new series of traditional-method raw Berliner Weisse! We are one of a tiny handful of breweries on the globe making Berliner in the old way — brewed from step-mashed wheat-based wort that is fermented with a long, mixed culture fermentation, instead of a kettle sour. This never-boiled crusher is crisp and thirst-slaking, presenting balanced flavors of fuzzy apricot, tart rhubarb, and citrus-herbal notes from dry hopping with Mandarina Bavaria.

Cranberry Berliner is our ode to Thanksgiving. By implementing a sour mash procedure in our kettle an intense lactic and sour character emerges, complemented by the addition of cranberries. The beer is then fermented with our lager yeast. Finishes fruity, citrusy, dry, and quite tart.

Super sessionable, low bitterness with lots of bright and funky tartness. The malt is mashed for 36 hours until it literally becomes sour by breaking down the glucose in the malt, producing lactic acid. Often times in Germany this beer is flavored with raspberry or Woodruff (sour apple) syrup which we special order and are available at the brewpub. We keep things real legit.

Place your bets on Winning Brew, this thoroughbred is going to win, place and show with its triple crown combo of hoppy, spicy and fruity aromas. This beer upholds the banana and clove character of a traditional German Hefeweizen while adding a unique twist. Trifecta is dry-hopped with Huell Melon, Meridian and Saphir hops which add notes of strawberry, kiwi, lime and Jasmin Tea and give it a fruit smoothie-like impression.

A tartuffe (tar-TOOF) is a hypocrite who feigns religious virtue. Heretic's Tartuffe is our take on a Berliner Weisse-style ale. Our head brewer has a thing for this beer style. He loves the tart, refreshing character that comes from using lots of wheat malt and a multi-day sour mash. Try it by itself or mit schuss, the traditional German addition of raspberry or woodruff syrup. Either way, enjoying life is a true virtue.

Imagine yourself in Berlin’s Tiergarten enjoying this refreshing Berliner Weisse inspired beer on a warm summer’s day. Bretta Weisse honors the traditional beverage of the great Prussian capital, Berlin. Fredrick-the-Great was trained to brew it, and Napoleon’s troops called it “The champagne of the North”. Firm estery notes of stone and tropical fruit lead to Funky, yeasty, citrus aromas. Soft cereal and Oak flavors are enveloped by a firm acidity and tartness. The finish is dry and crisp; a thoroughly enjoyable beverage. At 4.9% ABV, one could imagine enjoying several Bretta Weisse’s in the Tiergarten, or anywhere else. This Berliner Weisse inspired Wheat beer was aged in 1700 gal French Oak horizontal foeders for 8 months.

We made a refreshing sour that makes you want to get on a float and make a music video about it! We took pineapple and pear and mixed it with a healthy amount of lavender to create a beautiful melody of tart, fruity and floral. With harmonious notes of sweet pineapples and pears mixed with the soothing lavender, this beer makes you want to sing I’m on a float, whoa!
