We introduced 90 Shilling, our flagship beer, at our opening party in 1989. For a while, we’d been wondering what would happen if we lightened up the traditional Scottish ale? The result is an irresistibly smooth and delicious medium-bodied amber ale. The name 90 Shilling comes from the Scottish method of taxing beer. Only the highest quality beers were taxed 90 Shillings. A shilling was a British coin used from 1549 to 1982. We think you’ll find this original ale brilliantly refreshing, and worth every shilling.

This classic American amber ale blends pale, chocolate, and caramel malts to create a well-rounded, flavorful beer. Caramel malts lend whispers of toffee and an enjoyable sweetness, while a touch of bittering hops gives this beer its clean finish. Toasted Lager was originally named for the “toasted” characteristics of our original direct-fire brick kettle. Our World Beer Cup gold medal winning flagship brew is brewed with a blend of six specialty malts for a flavor as rich and unique as the town it’s from. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and our special proprietary lager yeast produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish.

Smoothness, deep-dark color and a roasted malt taste that finishes clean are the hallmarks of this distinctive beer. Brewed using 100-percent malt—including dark-roasted black and caramel malts and all-imported hops—Michelob AmberBock has a unique, rich amber color and smooth, full-bodied taste. Full bodied with a smooth caramel fullness. Pairs well with manchego cheese or sesame chicken.

Buckler is a low alcohol (0.5% abv) pale lager. It was launched in the summer of 1988, and is distributed worldwide.

Our golden orange-colored Pumpkin Ale is brewed with pumpkin and spices to produce a delicious taste of fall. This mild ale has little bitterness and a malty backbone. The spicy characteristics take the lead in this roasty beer and its tremendous depth of character will keep you warm during the fall season.

The beer that helped build our brewery; Bell’s Amber Ale features both toasted and sweet caramel notes from carefully selected malts, balanced with herbal and citrus hop aromas. Capped by a clean bitterness, it’s incredibly versatile with food, but very tasty on its own.

Switchback Ale was developed as a flavor concept, not adhering to any style guidelines. Using only traditional ingredients, Switchback Ale is an unfiltered, reddish-amber ale which is particularly well-balanced, allowing for complexity of flavor coupled with an unusually smooth and refreshing character. Five different malts, select hop varieties, and our own specially cultivated yeast create an ale which leads with hop fl¬avors and a subtle impression of fruit (our yeast’s contribution), followed by a palate pleasing malty finish.

Our "Velvet M-80" is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G'Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It's brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown.

We brew it with a half ton of caramelized malts for a rich copper color and toffee flavor. After adding the perfect mix of hops for balance, we warm ferment the beer to bring out a hint of dried raisins and currants. The complexity of flavors makes Red Trolley Ale a hearty and truly enjoyable beer.

The word “ziegenbock” is German for “billy goat.” And ZiegenBock Brewing Company brews a delicious Texas Amber Beer in Houston, TX. That, friends, is where we run out of facts and head straight into legends. Because just about everything and everyone in Texas has a legendary backstory. Some of ’em are even true. Our well rounded approach to the classic British Ale. There’s middle of the road, and there’s middle of the river. And if there’s one thing that’s important in the middle of the river – it’s balance. Our ESB is incredibly well balanced with a slight toasted malt flavor, traditional British hop accents with just a hint of pine and citrus from the unexpected Amarillo / Ahtanum dry-hop.

This beer is the stickiest of the icky. It's a luxuriously hoppy amber loaded up with intemperate quantities of Nelson, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, which are some of the fruitiest, dankest hops sweet, sweet money can buy. Despite its amber hue, Blazing World is pleasingly dry, sporting a lightly bready malt backbone that serves as platform for the huge & complex hop profile.
