Using 50% new French oak creates a subtle scent and flavor, with hints of well camouflaged wood amongst the more defined, richer aspects in the nose. The wood is not dramatic, but plays a critical complexion in this food friendly, strong tannin wine. The character and distinctive flavor of this wine represents Napa Valley classic cabernet. “Full of fruit, up front and very well balanced from start to finish,” were the wine makers words.
