La Storia Zinfandel

88% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 2% Sangiovese. This bottle of Zinfandel was made mostly from our best block of Zinfandel, Block 303. A portion of the Zinfandel was co-fermented with a small amount of Sangiovese. This wine is exuberantly fruity with pronounced dark cherry nose, wild blackberries, pepper and a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon. On the palate the wine is showing its youth as well, with a full body and fairly tannic finish with promises for greatness in about 2 years.
