Primitivo has a very long history that dates back to the times of the Phoenicians and has an lot in common with a more well-known grape variety called Zinfandel. Fantini' s version is an intense ruby colour with aromas and flavours of dark berries, cherry, and prune; full and soft with a harmoniously tannic finish.
