Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2011 The Wishing Tree Shiraz is another blend of Langhorne Creek, Currency Creek and McLaren Vale Shiraz grapes with a few other varieties blended in minor proportion for depth. It shows warm blackberry and wild blueberry aromas over suggestions of tree bark, cloves and spice box. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a good amount of pure berry flavors laced with pepper, balanced acid, a low to medium level of soft tannins and a medium to long finish.

Shiraz and cabernet sauvignon have been blended in Australia since the late 19th century, in a style that uniquely combines the plush and savoury notes of the shiraz with the elegance, length and structure of the cabernet. With this wine, Cape Mentelle reconnects with Australian wine traditions and blends these two outstanding varieties from the Margaret River region, creating a rich, deeply textured and complex wine. The aromatics are complex and enticing; dark forest berry fruit, black cherry, black currant with orange marmalade and intense smoked charcuterie. Finer nuances of flint and jasmin blossom entwine with leather and tobacco undertones combining with licorice and cardamom notes

Concentrated red cherries, mulberries and blueberries dominate the nose. There is cocoa, coffee bean, oak char black cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon and lifted violets that are well positioned in the background. The palate is rich and layered with dark cherries, boysenberries and blueberries. Structural mocha-like tannins scroll to the back palate with subtle hints of anise, which is balanced with an elegant and bouyant acid line.

A light pink wine with salmon tones and aromas of cherries, plum blossom and subtle brioche and dried herb hints. The palate has a crunchy entry of natural acidity, red berries and candied apples. The wine is dry and succulent, with textural tones of eastern spice, strawberries and rose water leading to a quenching mineral finish.

Rocky Gully Wines hail from the award winning Frankland Estate in Frankland River, the coolest and most isolated wine-growing region in Western Australia. Warm days, cool nights (maritime influenced by the proximity to the Great Southern Ocean – means milder summers and winters) optimum ripening conditions, sustainable organic practices and a pristine pollution free environment are all contributing factors to the fine wines it produces. The Indigenous Series 2015 Semillon is a new style of full bodied table wine that will be completely unfamiliar to those who think they know ‘Semillon’. It owes its character to the Three Hills Vineyard in the extreme south of Margaret River which produces fruit that is golden and flavoursome at harvest, very different to that in vineyards designed for mechanisation. The result is a full bodied flavoursome food wine, generous in its alcohol content, gutsy in its mid palate weight, food friendly, intriguing in its composition and long lived. This is a red drinker's white wine.
