The color is a rich scarlet-red, with opulent aromas of blackberry, black cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of caramel. The palate comes alive with flavors of ripe raspberries, strawberry jam, a dense blackberry core, warm gingerbread, and a hint of toffee. It is perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity, plush weight on the mid-palate and a wonderfully supple texture. The expansive fruit flavors carry through to a long, pure and persistent finish. When asked to describe this wine, I simply say it’s like a taste of Christmas, all year long.

Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay is an ocean influenced, single vineyard expression of “refrigerated sunshine” in a glass – layered, elegant, distinct. Fresh granny smith apples, floral and spice aromas dominate the nose; pink grapefruit, tangerine, citrus blossom, and apple pie flavors are balanced by a bit of wet stone. The oak influence creates a nice mid-palate, yet the wine still shows a balanced acidity that carries through the long finish. Chardonnay is one of the most celebrated white wines in Santa Barbara County, California. Leading off the two Syrahs, the 2017 Syrah Cinematique comes from a great vineyard in the Ballard Canyon AVA and was destemmed and aged 20 months in 60% new French oak. Sexy notes of black raspberries, vanilla bean, bay leaf, ground pepper, and hints of crushed violets all emerge from this incredibly seamless, elegant, ethereal Syrah. Medium to full-bodied, deeply colored, and concentrated, it's no small wine, yet it always has a graceful, elegant style that builds beautifully with time in the glass. It has enough tannins to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and will drink brilliantly over the following decade or more.

Cool climate Syrah at its finest. We have taken the last 8 years to carefully find the most expressive and diverse blocks of Syrah at our own Murmur Vineyard. Utilizing the patchwork of the vineyard blocks we specifically farm each block based on slope, aspect, and clone; optimizing vine balance, quality, and yields appropriate for this site. Fragrant aromas of dark black fruit, clove, olive, pepper, and baking spice draw you in with each swirl.

This beautiful white wine displays Asian pear, floral, spice, citrus blossom, and apple pie characteristics. Barrel fermentation encourages a rich mid-palate, followed by a refreshingly crisp finish.

Our Chardonnay has notes of savory apple and lime zest, browned butter and brulee, clean ocean breeze, hints of tropical fruit (guava/pineapple), complex and surprisingly integrated for such a young Chardonnay. Apple créme brulee, lime zest and citrus blossom, rich with a flavor akin to pears poached in butter. Firm acid, quite dry, but supported by a good dollop of fruity and oak - toasted richness. Slightly leaner style than 2013, but with enough malolactic and oak treatment to leave no doubt this is a crafty and deliciouslly balanced Chardonnay. Ready to drink now but will become a little more complex, mineral and nutty between 5 and 8 years from vintage date. Decanting/aerating suggested through 2019.

Presqui’ile Vineyard is planted on a extremely sandy ridge at the southwestern edge of the Santa Maria AVA. The combination of the moderate climate and relatively poor soils creates a Syrah this is lively, spicy and complex. The wine was fermented with 25% whole clusters to add to the texture and mouth feel of the wine. Dark purple color, reminiscent of violets with aromas of crushed black pepper.

With the Block UU Bien Nacido Chardonnay, beautiful tropical and citrus aromas are followed by a rich full mouthfeel and flavors of grapefruit, pineapple and mango--with notes of minerality and just a hint of toasty vanilla. Birght acidity beautifully balances the richness of the mouthfeel.

According to one Chilean legend, when the Spanish conquistadors discovered this new land, they were so enchanted by the ‘trile”, as the song of a local bird were known, that they named the country in its honour. This 100% Chardonnay from Chile is pale yellow in colour and has a fresh and fruity aroma. It is delicious with salads, fish and other seafood. Serve cold.
