Chateau-Lafleur-Pomerol-2010
Deep plum, purple color. Gorgeous perfume on the nose of earthy, tobacco, plum, black cherry and floral notes. Full-bodied, with racy, intense acidity and tannins. Powerful and layered, with a subtle fruit and long finish.

Grapes are vinified batch by batch, in oak or stainless steel vats, then aged for 18 months in oak barrels (33% new). The wine is fined traditionally, using fresh egg white. This vintage was bottled on a fruit day according to the lunar calendar, to allow the wine to express itself fully.

Chateau-La-Gravette-de-Certan-Pomerol
La Gravette, the second wine of Vieux Château Certan, is named after a parcel of vines located between Certan and Le Pin. 30% of VVC's crop is designated for La Gravette-mostly the younger vines and the Cabernets. 2013 has more vieilles vignes in his blend. Th ewine has a fresh, vibrant nose with aromas of autumn fruit and a hint of smoke. The palate is soft and fruity with great balance and a silky texture. This is a wine to be enjoyed young, to best appreciate its lovely fruit character, and served lightly chilled. A very pretty Pomerol.

Wine Spectator-Pomerol, Bordeaux, France- "This has a fleshy feel and a solid core of dark plum, fig and blackberry compote flavors. A strong charcoal spine adds texture on the finish, while black tea, menthol, bay and warm stone notes cruise through for added range." (Concentrated, Black Cherry, Full-bodied)

The wine is ruby red with intense aromas. On the mouth, the flavors of blackcurrant and roast coffee are pre-dominant developing hints of apricot and soft spices. The large proportion of Merlot, picked at the peak of ripeness and carefully fermented, gives balance, roundness and a velvety texture.

Chateau-Bonalgue-Pomerol
90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. The generosity of Merlot on this early-ripening terroir brings an exuberant expression to the wine; ripe grapes bring a silky, velvety texture in the mouth, and a strikingly aromatic nose. Bonalgue is open and engaging when young (2-6 years); it doesn’t close down, but after a few years of ageing (7-15 years) reveals it’s more sophisticated side without ever losing its voluptuous nature.

Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. This Bordeaux boasts deep, berry-fruit from the silky Merlot of the clay and limestone soils of the right bank of the Garonne River. Drinks well right away but will age impressively.

2009-Chateau-Vieux-Maillet
The finest wine I have ever tasted from this estate, the 2009 exhibits a dense purple color, lots of caramelized black currant and cherry fruit, hints of espresso and earth, and a dense, plump, corpulent personality. It is ideal for drinking over the next 10-15 years. (Tasted once.)
