Expressive fruit aromas and wood perfumes announce this wine. With 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a complex wine marked by purity of black fruits, berries, toast and tannins. It has power, richness and a lovely edge of spice to go with the acidity. The wine is firmly structured, while bursting with fruit and freshness.

Wine Spectator-5th Growth, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France- "A sleek, graphite-fueled version, with ample cassis and black cherry fruit racing along, picking up light tobacco, anise and bramble notes along the way. The fruit is vivid, presenting pleasant coiled-up energy. " (Concentrated, Black Cherry, Full-bodied)

Lovely ruby color. Aromas that contain delicate notes of fruit, as well as touches of liquorice and mild spices. The palate is enticing, with tannins nicely integrated. The final impression is elegant, quite free of any weightiness.

Chateau-Latour-Grand-Vin-1964
Château Latour’s long and noble history is summarized graphically on every bottle. The label shows the domaine’s famous tower, a symbol of the château's importance to regional politics and defense as early as the 14th century. And as one of the original four First Growth Bordeaux, the estate has become even more significant in the last 200 years as the producer of one of the world’s most legendary wines. Robert M. Parker Jr. has noted that the wine produced at Château Latour “has been an impeccable model of consistent excellence in great, mediocre and poor vintages.” After passing to British ownership from 1963 to 1993, the château was purchased in 1993 by Francois Pinault, one of France’s most successful businessmen and entrepreneurs. Vineyards total 163 acres, with 75% planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% to Cabernet Franc, 20% to Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 60 years. The chateau produces 180,000 bottles of Château Latour annually.

Chateau-Mouton-Le-Petit-Mouton-Rothschild
2014 will be remembered as a year of contrasts. Spring arrived in due course after a typical Bordeaux winter, though April was much sunnier and drier than the average. A wet and cool May was followed by a spell of bright and sunny weather, despite some highly localised heavy rainfall, mainly due to storms on 22 and 23 June. The weather in summer was very changeable. July was generally fine and slightly warmer than the average, whereas August was quite a lot cooler and much less sunny, though drier, than normal. With the end of August came one of the longest and most exceptional Indian summers in winegrowing memory, bringing a succession of hot, sunny and dry days which lasted until the end of October. Warm weather in April encouraged early budbreak, especially for the Merlot, while the extraordinary late season enabled the grapes to reach perfect maturity, retaining all the fruit flavours and favouring phenolic compounds. The harvest took place in ideal conditions, leaving plenty of time to pick the grapes at optimum maturity.

Chateau-Bellegrave-Pauillac
This has muscle, offset by sleek acidity, which lets the steeped blackberry and black currant fruit race along nicely, while the smoldering tobacco and roasted fig notes hang in the background. Solid, with iron-tinged grip on the finish. Best from 2013 through 2023.

Domaine L’Ostal Cazes Estibals

Domaine-L’Ostal-Cazes-Estibals
It takes its name from one of the domaine's finest parcels... ''Estibals''. L'Ostal Cazes Estibals is made from a blend of the youngest vines that do not meet criteria for the Grand Vin de L'Ostal Cazes. The blend is made up of 42% Syrah, 36% Carignan, 12% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre. This balance of grape varieties provides a perfect expression of the Minervois appellation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A rich, smooth and sun-drenched wine With its deep red hue and violet glints, L’Ostal Cazes Estibals offers notes of scrubland, morello cherries and red fruits. On the palate, the attack is full and smooth with well-marked tannins and a touch of oakiness. The bronze disc on the label brings to mind the warm and sun-drenched character of wines from Minervois.

Reserve-de-la-Comtesse-Red-Bordeaux-Blend
According to Robert Parker: "A blend of 46% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, this is a hedonistic sexpot of a Pauillac with loads of density, plenty of ripe fruit, and low acidity in an easy-to-drink, seductive style with plenty of chocolate-infused black currant fruit. Drink it over the next decade." (04/05)
