"Lions de Batailley" is the second wine of Château Batailley and draws its name from the two Lions who guard the gates of Château Batailley's main entrance. Château Batailley, a 5th Grand Cru Classé of the classification of 1855, is the Castéja family's and Borie-Manoux’s flagship. It is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. Lions de Batailley is produced from a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape varietal which grows well on Batailley's gravel soil. Balanced, silky tannins with acidity and length. It is a wine that drinks easily young, but will also age well.

Château Lynch-Bages is a winery in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. Château Lynch-Bages is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Daring, innovative and with a reputation for often being the last to harvest, Jean-Charles Cazes defined the style of Lynch-Bages in the 1930's. The wine's distinctive character has earned it a place amongst Pauillac's greatest. It combines structure, finesse and elegance, offering generous aromas in its youth and developing deeper complexities with bottle age. The estate’s reputation as a top quality wine producer took off in 1945 after a series of exceptional vintages. Since then, Lynch-Bages has continued to produce excellent wines, even during years considered difficult in the Bordeaux region. The wine’s deep colour and tannic backbone have become part of its signature style. Jean-Michel Cazes, grandson of Jean-Charles, has worked hard to develop and refine the wine’s supple and smooth structure over the years. Vintage after vintage, the estate’s precise and excellent winemaking techniques have served to firmly establish Lynch-Bages reputation for consistent quality.

Château Haut-Bages Averous was the name of the former Pauillac estate acquired by André Cazes and was the domaine's second wine from 1976 onwards. It was renamed Echo de Lynch-Bages as of the 2008 vintage in order to affirm its relationship with the Grand Cru Classé.Its name Echo refers to the nymph from Greek mythology who was deprived of speech by Hera as a punishment for distracting her when Zeus wished to consort with beautiful mortals. As such, although Echo de Lynch-Bages is not the first to speak, it shares the first wine's elegance and character.

Round and fruity, with crushed black fruit and a hint of oaky vanilla. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long, balanced finish. Concentrated and rich, with lots of coffee and berry character.
