Pale straw/yellow colour; floral, ripe peach, honey and lychee fruit aromas; off-dry, light to medium bodied, softly structured with balanced acidity, flavours of honeysuckle, rose water, pear, citrus and lychee; hints of spice on the finish.

In ancient Hebrew, Tzafona means northward, and true to its name it captures the cold and pure essence of Canada's flagship appellation, the Niagra peninsula. Tzafona's Vidal Icewine has intense aromas of honey, apricot, and peaches with a perfect balance of acidity and texture on the palate.

Forward fruit profile, including blackberry, plum and vanilla spice. The finish is long and soft with silky tannins. This wine pairs well with both parmesan and provolone cheeses. Also try it along with duck, a nice steak with caramelized onions or grilled Ahi tuna.

The 2011 is the inaugural Chardonnay release from Five Rows. This wine shows good acidity and provides a nice balance to the ripe pineapple, pear, and passion fruit flavors. Just a hint of vanilla spice oak ends in a finish that’s clean and pure.

We dedicate this delightful Rosé to Madame Andrée Bosc – wife, mother and winery matriarch. We wanted to make a wine with as much joie de vivre as Madame. The vibrant pink certainly makes a statement. We were able to extract this colour by using only fully ripe grapes and by allowing an overnight cold soak to bleed out the colour from the skins. This is the old school way to make a crisp, dry Rosé. On the nose the aromas will remind you of fresh strawberries and cranberries. On the palate it is fresh and lively.

Medium minus nose shows black plum, baking spice, roses. Palate gives soft layers of dark fruit, cedar, blackberry, herbs like sage, pretty presentation with some grip, medium plus tannins, medium acidity, medium complexity and finish. Very solid and a total unknown given the region.

The 2011 bottling of this lovely Cabernet is one of the best yet. The hint of red from and black fruit in the scent carry over into the luscious, juicy flavors. This is an easy-drinking wine, one that will be great for a pot-luck or barbeque.
