Wine in Muscadet

Pale straw yellow with silver reflexes. Very fresh and clear fruit-driven bouquet with notes of white peach, nectarine, citrus fruit and slightly exotic hints of pineapple, melon and lychee. Subtle aromas of white flowers like honeysuckle before soft roasted tones and a whiff see-air. Crystal-clear and with animating, crisp acidity on the palate, that gives the wine lightness, strength and liveliness at the same time. Nice length on the finale with a tart fruity aftertaste of grapefruit and lemon.

An incredible value - 40+ year old vines, natural yeast fermentation and extended lees contact make for a brine-y, full-bodied Muscadet with remarkable nerve and zip.

The Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie appellation is THE wine “par excellence” of the Nantes region. It owes its name to the two rivers that cross this ideal terroir for the cultivation of the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety. As for the mention "on lees", it indicates that the wine has spent the winter (no more and no less!) in vats on its fine fermentation lees, which gives it all its richness and aromatic complexity.

This is a wine of great intensity. Its tight texture and citrus fruits work hard to produce a strongly floral wine that has a steely character.
