La Mora, "meaning horse" is dedicated to the history of Maremma, a coastal region with a Mediterranean climate, which used to be home to roaming cowboys on horseback. Morellino is the native word for the Sangiovese grape, and Scansano is the town in Maremma, Tuscany after which the appellation is named. La Mora Morellino di Scansano unleashes a fruit-forward wine bursting with ripe berries and spice.

This is a barrel fermented yet not oaky Tuscan Chardonnay. 70% of the wine is stainless steel fermented, while 30% is barrel fermented. The two wines are then blended. The result is an elegant and complex, yet very drinkable 100% Chardonnay wine. The nose is intense and refined with lots of tropical fruit and spices. The palate is firm with great minerality and a subtle yet present acidity. Pair with fried dishes as well as all kinds of grilled or lightly smoked meats.

Established in 1893, Cecchi is one of the oldest, most prominent producers in Tuscany, pioneering the growth and development of the Sangiovese grape. Cecchi embodies Tuscan authenticity, with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability.
