Drinking this organic, unsulfered red blend will have you walking on sunshine. Though this bottling is whimsical and lighthearted, it’s still the product of serious winemaking practices. Drinkable and refreshing, but with plenty of punch, Cherries & Rainbows hails from the South of France from an eco-friendly winery. This is truly an artisanal product - the perfect fit for the wine drinker who’s in search of sustainably farmed, small-lot bottlings. A Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre that’s brought up in concrete tanks with no sulfur added, it has energetic fruit, herb, and forest floor notes. It’s a wine that will keep you coming back for more - or as the kids these days say:

Hecht-&-Bannier-Minervois-2013
Unctuous and sensual, Minervois reveals intense berry fruit flavors. Dominated by the rich and peppery Syrah, this wine is exceptionally soft with silky fruitiness coming from the Grenache. Minervois is one of the great appellations of southern France. Situated on the rugged hillsides soaking up the warm Mediterranean sun, the region produces wines of combined elegance and power. The Hecht et Bannier Minervois is a blend of 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache and a touch of Carignan vinified in a combination of concrete tank, large neutral oak cask and oak barrels. About the Brand: Formed in 2002, Hecht et Bannier produces wines that are reference points for the Roussillon, Languedoc and Provence. Founders Gregory Hecht and François Bannier note: “To conserve the typical Mediterranean strength in our wines while preserving balance and crispness, this is our mantra for all the appellations we produce.” This cutting-edge firm is one of the south’s most exciting projects in recent memory and promises to be a formidable player with dramatic impact in the region. Critical Acclaim: 2013: 90 points Wine Spectator “Pureed raspberry, plum and spice flavors are lined with dusty tannins in this fresh, focused red. Hints of milk chocolate add a touch of richness, with floral and spice notes lingering on the crisp finish. Drink now through 2018. 645 cases imported.” Wine Spectator 2015: 90 points Wine Spectator “A hefty red, with dried red berry, olive and earthy notes, marked by dried herb and licorice accents. Ferrous mineral, cured meat and spice details fill the chewy finish. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan. Best after 2021.” Wine Spectator

Sogno di Sorrento Lemoncello, is created from the peel of the finest hand-selected Amalfi Coast lemons, a local species of large, subtly flavored lemons that grow along the hill terraces overlooking the sparkling, sunlit Mediterranean Sea. Maurizio and his sons personally oversee and select only the finest sun-ripened lemons to ensure quality and flavor in the production of Sogno di Sorrento. Normal climate conditions along the Amalfi allow lemon groves to produce four harvests per year. Fresh lemon peels are infused in stainless steel tanks four to ten days depending on the season of the harvest with natural spirits, then blended with sugar and distilled water to create this all natural lemon liqueur. An average of ten lemons are used in the production of a single bottle of Sogno di Sorrento Lemoncello. Crema Lemoncello is the natural marriage of rich, fresh Italian cream and Sogno di Sorrento Lemoncello.

It was a simple thought: If we spend all this time, funds and energy to be truly green and Biodynamic, then why be subtle about it? Let’s offer consumers that are liked minded a clearly labeled Biodynamic wine at a price that anyone can afford and lets tell our story on the back label. Hence the Natural Selection Syrah. A lush, plush blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan that does not contain a single chemical. The label itself took six month to design with the help of John Daponte of BRDG in Brooklyn. After going through many, many ideas, John finally copied a Charles Darwin’s "On the Origin of Species” printed tree diagram from 1859 and applied it to the front label. That was it. The dark green color is an unknown pantone. In effect, the ink that we use to print our labels was absorbed by the recycled paper in a way that we did not anticipate. This is the reason why the label above is a sleek gray and the real label is instead forest green (it was meant to be?). I did not really want to have a "green” wine with a green colored label, but since it would have taken more than a month to fix, I decided to go with it . Proving once again that successful marketing are often happy accidents. The bottle is a St Gobain ECOVA ultra-light bottle weighing in at 0.85 pounds (regular Burgundies are 1.32 pounds!). Quick math will show that if you multiply the weight saved in glass only, you end up with a Mitsubishi Fuso... They are made out of 80% recycled glass. The boxes and dividers (we ship in flat 12 packs only) are also made with recycled cardboard. But we can be as "green" as we'd like, if the wine is terrible, nothing else really matters. Our Syrah is grown on hard and soft limestone and alluvial soils. It is a blend of 85% Syrah and 15% Grenache. vinification happens in a mix of concrete and conical foudre and it is aged for 12 months in 30% new oak and the rest in two and three years barrels. Like all our wines, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered and is thus suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The nose is ripe black fruits (blackcurrants, elderberries) notes alongside more spicy characteristics (pepper, herbs). The palate is very attractive with firm yet silky tannins. Aromatic, spicy with a generous weight.

COUNTRY: France REGION: Languedoc-Roussillon SUB REGION: Languedoc-Roussillon APPELLATION/AVA: Minervois AOC ESTATE GROWN WINE: Yes VINEYARD DESIGNATION: Laguzelle GRAPE(S): Cinsault / Syrah / Carignan TYPE: Wine - Red BOTTLE SIZE: 750 ml ALC BY VOL(%): 12.5 VITICULTURE: Certified Organic SOIL TYPE: Schist, clay, limestone, sand and marne Winemaking Notes: The Taillandier Laguzelle is a chuggable, chillable red made from 30-year-old vines of Cinsault, Syrah and Carignan, which are grown on schist, clay, limestone, sand and marne. The native yeast fermentation is natural with 6 months of aging in stainless steel and only 10mg/l of sulfites added at bottling. The wine is neither fined nor filtered. Tasting Notes: Laguzelle shows fresh aromas of dried herbs, luscious black fruit (red plum and blackberry), warm spices and a hint of black pepper. It is lively, fresh and lower in alcohol than the typical wines of Minervois in part because harvest is 1-2 weeks before other producers.
