Aromas of tropical fruit like mango, pineapple, banana, ripe kiwi and honeydew melon alongside notes of cinnamon, vanilla bean, lemongrass and hints of hazelnut and cloves. Fruit-forward, medium weight, with crisp citrus and lingering melon, pear and creme fraiche flavors.

Roederer Estate Brut, the first California sparkling wine produced by Champagne Louis Roederer, builds upon a 200-year tradition of fine winemaking that has made Roederer champagne among the most sought-after in the world. Roederer's winemaking style is based on two elements: ownership of its own vineyards and the addition of oak-aged reserve wines to each year's blend or cuvee. All the grapes for the Anderson Valley wines are grown on the Estate. Each year, the winemaker selects a portion of the best wines for aging in Center of France oak casks. Aged from one to three years, wines from this reserve cellar are added to the blend, creating a multi-vintage cuvee in the traditional Roederer style, known for its body, finesse and depth of flavor. Using grapes grown in Mendocino County’s rugged coastal mountains, Edmeades crafts bold, intense red wine Zinfandels of distinctive character and personality. We work side by side with a small group of growers, who year after year produce some of Mendocino County’s most highly-prized grapes. We prefer a delicate touch in our cellar, allowing each vineyard to be fully expressed in the wines we make. This red wine begins with intense aromas of baking spices, dark fruit and sage. Soft tannins accentuate the richness, while pleasant acidity keeps it fresh on the finish.

Wendling lies just along the Anderson Valley AVA boundary, thereby earning the distinction of being the Valley’s closest vineyard to the coast. Exceptional for many reasons, the 15 acres that we farm were planted in 2008 with tight spacing, some meter by meter, to 10 clones of Pinot Noir. Expectations are high for this vineyard, as we anticipate it evolving into one of the valley’s preeminent sites.
