Chateau-Lafleur-Pomerol-2010
Deep plum, purple color. Gorgeous perfume on the nose of earthy, tobacco, plum, black cherry and floral notes. Full-bodied, with racy, intense acidity and tannins. Powerful and layered, with a subtle fruit and long finish.
Chateau Recougne Bordeaux Superieur

Chateau-Recougne-Bordeaux-Superieur
This well-known Bordeaux Superieur, which has a fabulous reputation for aging 20-30 years in certain vintages, comes from proprietor Xavier Milhad. The 2012, a blend of 78% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, has a dense ruby/plum color and attractive, juicy blackcurrant fruit. Supple, round and generous, this is an over-achiever and a sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 5-10 years, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it lasts longer, given the fact that I’ve had the 1953 and 1955 in the last five years and both were still in great shape.

Almost entirely from Merlot, this wine is packed with wood as much as fruit. The wine has a smoky, burnt character that will need to disappear to allow the black fruits to come through.

Chateau La Gravette de Certan Pomerol

Chateau-La-Gravette-de-Certan-Pomerol
La Gravette, the second wine of Vieux Château Certan, is named after a parcel of vines located between Certan and Le Pin. 30% of VVC's crop is designated for La Gravette-mostly the younger vines and the Cabernets. 2013 has more vieilles vignes in his blend. Th ewine has a fresh, vibrant nose with aromas of autumn fruit and a hint of smoke. The palate is soft and fruity with great balance and a silky texture. This is a wine to be enjoyed young, to best appreciate its lovely fruit character, and served lightly chilled. A very pretty Pomerol.

Chateau-Rouget-Pomerol
Grapes are vinified batch by batch, in oak or stainless steel vats, then aged for 18 months in oak barrels (33% new). The wine is fined traditionally, using fresh egg white. This vintage was bottled on a fruit day according to the lunar calendar, to allow the wine to express itself fully.
Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Émilion Red Blend

Les-Cadrans-de-Lassègue-Saint-Émilion-Red-Blend
Les Cadrans de Lassègue is brilliantly clear red Bordeaux wine blend, showing a ruby core and a bouquet brimming with pomegranates, fresh rose petals and lilacs. There are savory elements here along with mint aromas that combine with a dried sweetness, masterfully contained by the complex structure and vibrant acidity of the wine. The texture is reflective of its predominant varietal—Merlot, on full display here in its most soft, expansive form. Above all else the wine has balanced fruit. The generous, lifted bouquet of light red fruit, silky texture, and finely integrated tannins makes this the perfect wine to enjoy right away.
Chateau Cap d’Or Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion

Chateau-Cap-d’Or-Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion
Cap d’Or is the chateau’s second wine, but rather than being secondary it is rather its feminine counterpart. This femininity reveals itself in a floral, raspberry touch and in freshness and minerality. The wine is fine and seductive, with a very delicate hint of oak that reinforces the fruit and the terroir. Historically, Cap d’Or was named Cap Doro by the Romans in the First Century when they decided to clear the south facing slopes. Superb exposure to the sunlight allows for an excellent maturation of the grapes and seeds, providing the basis for a very natural vinification.

The great wine of the property, dominated by merlot. Pleasant from its youth for its nose of red fruits. The nose becomes more complex after a few years. Fused tannic structure. Not filtered, not glued.

Clarendelle-St.-Emilion
We have made a beautiful blend in this vintage, taking advantage of powerful wines with a great balance between alcohol and acidity. Not only the Merlot, but also the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes reached perfect maturity with regard to sugar and tannin. The wine has a brilliant, intense red colour. The nose is redolent of black fruit (Burlat cherry, plum) and beautiful floral aromas. These fruity flavours carry over to the palate, which also features peppery and spicy notes. The wine has an elegant, fine-grained tannic structure. The aftertaste is fresh, long, and fruity. The wine is altogether well-balanced and elegant. We are very proud of our first vintage of Clarendelle Saint-Emilion!
