This rose opens with a lovely bouquet of citrus fruit, with nice notes of bitterness, bright and fresh. Mourvedre on calcareous soils brings power and elegance while Cinsault more roundness, juice and fruit. A gourmet rose with Mediterranean accents, spicy and colorful.

SOIL TYPE: White clay & Lutetan limestone. GRAPE VARIETIES: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Mourvèdre, Pinot noir, Sauvignon, Petit Manseng et Muscat. VINIFICATION: Bled Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the younger Daumas Gassac vineyards. The “free-run” grape juice is then fermented in a closed tank so as to retain all the fermenting gas. This is a rich, toasty and yeasty wine. With its good acidity and crisp texture, it is rounded, ripe and ready to drink. The aftertaste gives a good lift of acidity.

This fresh, fruity rose is made from Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Carignan and Syrah grapes grown on gravely slopes near the Ceze river of the beautiful Gard region of the South of France. Experienced winemaker Phillippe Amploux is passionate about Grenache in this region and he has made this wine in a modern style with temperature controlled fermentation for maximum freshness and summer fruit flavours.
