The yield is controled by disbuddings in order to produce a fine and expressive wine. We also make a severe sorting in the vineyard and then in the cellar. The fermentation lasts during 15 days with daily pumping-over. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels not new (from 1 to 3 years) during 15 months. A very light filtration is made before bottling so a light sediment may deposit. A brilliant ruby colour and a fruity nose with cherry and raspberry. The mouth is fine and delicate. Very representative of a Pinot noir from Burgundy, this wine is very pleasant. To serve lightly cool.

This Montagny Premier Cru is redolent of oak, vanilla and brioche. It is round and delectable on the palate with lovely vivacity and minerality. The finish is long and fragrant with flavours of almond and both raw and cooked apple.

This bright, uncomplicated Pinot Noir delivers juicy strawberry and blackberry aromas and flavors, with hints of violet, licorice and spice. It comes from vines rooted in clay soils with southern exposure at 180 meters above sea level.

Burgundian reds completely depend on their environment (terroir) to gain their nuances in flavor. These reds are lighter with medium acid and typically lower tannins.

Pale hue with apple and citrus aromas and a hint of spring flowers. The palate is expressive, with notes of toast and caramel, clean-cut fruit flavors (peach, pear), and mouth-watering citrus. A fruity and elegant in its youth and after two or three year, notes of hazelnut and honey will develop. The village of Rully is in the Côte Chalonnaise just south of the Côte d’Or and contains 23 premier cru vineyards each of which is ideal for Chardonnay. The Les Cloux vineyard sits on a hillside above the village with a southeast exposure with clay and limestone soils that give the elegance. About the Winery: Olivier Leflaive was born into one of the most legendary Burgundian estates which he co-managed before starting his own venture, which is now legendary itself, Olivier Leflaive in 1985. This project allowed him to play with more wines outside of what his family owned in Puligny-Montrachet. Working with his winemaker, Franck Grux, they always focused on quality and transparency.
