Turley Mead Ranch Zinfandel

Turley-Mead-Ranch-Zinfandel
Mead Ranch is planted at about 1600 feet on Atlas Peak, on the south eastern side of Napa Valley. The vineyard was originally planted in the 1880s, though our block is primarily from the 1970s. This vineyard is head-trained, planted in red volcanic soil. On a clear day you can see San Francisco; though those are few and far between, and thus this vineyard sees plenty of fog from the bay. The wines are fragrant, with complex texture and great acidity.

Aveo-Atlas-Peak-Napa-Valley-Cabernet
Tiny passion project from (literal) rocket scientist Steve Jennings. 85% Cab, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Dark, rich flavors and aromas of cassis, blackberry, leather, graphite, lavender, dry-aged beef and pipe tobacco. Chunky tannins and food-friendly acidity make this a perfect fit for grilled meat tonight, or lay this down for a decade or more. 200 cases made.

Trinch-Haystack-Cabernet-2009
Our Haystack Cabernet is true to its mountain origins, boasting great structure, intense purple color and floral aromatics. Firm tannins are gracefully balanced by luscious dark plum and ripe fruit flavors (reminiscent of blueberry pie) with nuances of black licorice, mocha and baking spice. This is a wine that I think has incredible ageability, but, like all my wines, should drink well upon release too.
