Feudi-di-San-Gregorio-Aglianico-Rubrato
Feudi di San Gregorio, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is Campania’s premier winemaking estate. Situated in the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania's Irpinia region, this highly-acclaimed winery was established in 1986. Since then, it has aggressively tapped into the enormous potential of Campania's unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Aglianico. Throughout its short yet prolific history, the estate’s proprietors have cultivated Campania’s finest vineyards and worked closely with some of Italy’s best enologists. The results have been remarkable — the wines of Feudi di San Gregorio meet time and again with stellar reviews and consistently garner international critical acclaim. Rubrato is the local word for brilliant ruby in color. Production Area The communes of Taurasi, Pietradefusi, Castelvetere and Paternopoli in Campania. 10-20 year old vines are grown at between 1,000 – 1,600 ft above sea level. Core (pronounced Kor-Ay) is local dialect for “heart”, and the label evokes the love of life, and wine that is the spirit of Montevetrano. Core is sourced from particular experimental Aglianico plots on the estate in San Cipriano and also from outside growers in the classical Benevento area. This deep ruby-red wine displays aromas of red fruits and spices with undertones of licorice, earth, and leather. This wine makes an excellent pairing with roasted lamb, grilled tenderloin, braised ossobuco and ripe cheeses.

Taurasi-DOCG/DOP
The origins of Taurasi wine date back to the pre-Roman era. The Aglianico grape variety, from which Taurasi wine is produced from was called “Hellenic”, or originating in Greece. Taurasi wine was named after “Taurasia”, a little village that was taken over by Romans after they defeated Hirpinis in the 80 a.C. The Romans then mooved here thousands of settlers from Liguria to work in the vineyards.

Di-Majo-Norante-Aglianco
The Phoenicians brought Aglianico to Italy from Greece and mainly from Eubea, many centuries before Christ was born. This "Ancient Vine" produced Pope Paul III’s favourite wine. The wine has a ruby red colour with a slight hint of orange, a winy bouquet, ample and intense with hints of ripe fruit. Mellow and velvety, it is very harmonic, full-bodied and with just the right tannic content and hints of almonds. Ideal with savoury foods, starters, game and cheese. Serving temperature: 16°-18°C
