This inaugural release of our 2016 Butternut Rosé has been an exciting time for us at BNA Wine Group. Our grapes are sourced from two vineyards in the central coast, mostly Paso Robles. Two different vineyards were harvested a few days apart, crushed a pressed immediately to get that crisp clean look and taste we have today. 2016 Harvest: After a rollercoaster 2015 vintage, we settled into an ideal 2016 vintage. Mellow, even weather led to normal to above average yields with tremendous quality. Wines from the 2016 vintage are rich with weight, round tannins and vibrant, dark fruit tones. It could possibly be one of the top vintages in the last two decades.
A favorite of both sommeliers and casual wine drinkers, Butternut Chardonnay is a unique white wine with a creamy, luxe texture. Honey hues appeal to the eye, while scents of hazelnut, caramel and spiced apple please the nose. If you love white wines with richness and depth, give butternut a try. It's like you mother's Chardonnay, only better.
The old adage says that Cabernet is king. We created Butternut Cabernet to be king in delivering maximum flavor, quality, and value. Aromas of red berry fruit emerge from the glass with flavors of dark chocolate and round tannins lingering on the palate.
Aromas of vanilla, cassis and menthol lift from the glass. On the palette an array of red and dark berries are met with a medium bodied, silky finish.
