The Botanist Gin is the first and only Islay Dry Gin from Islay, Scotland. A versatile dry gin that is crafted using a unique combination of 22 botanicals that are hand-foraged locally and sustainably on the Scottish island of Islay. These botanicals are picked at varying times of the year, and can only be picked when it’s dry—a frequent challenge on Islay! Our dedicated forager then carefully and meticulously dry all of the botanicals in order to be infused during our slow, simmer distillation process. This incredible attention to detail results in a beautifully complex and elegantly smooth gin with a versatile flavor profile that is perfect for cocktails. This botanical breath of Islay is captured in a stunning glass bottle that features the 22 hand-picked botanicals etched in Latin and is best served in a classic Botanist & Tonic, or as a perfectly chilled martini. We encourage you to experiment with the local & seasonal flavors around you when making your unique Botanist cocktail. Lagavulin-16-Year
Discover the distinct flavors of the islands of Scotland with a swill of Lagavulin 16 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Our 86 proof whisky has the intense, full-bodied flavor reminiscent of a driftwood fire at dusk. The taste of dry peat smoke with strong maritime notes results in a complex dram that is complemented by a long, elegant finish. Distilled in Lagavulin, Scotland on the coast of Islay, centuries of local distilling excellence has earned our whisky the Double Gold Medal at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Our aging process in oak casks gives our whisky the extraordinary and classic smoky flavor that demands to be served in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a little water. Carrying on a 200-year-old tradition of distilling excellence, the Lagavulin distillery is said to be one of the oldest distilleries on Islay. Founded in 1816 by farmer John Johnston and later led by Peter Mackies in 1887, the name Lagavulin was to become the last word on the delicacy of Islay malts. Miles and miles of peat bog in the west of the island provide the raw material which imbues the barley with our iconic smoky flavor, and the rich peaty water that runs from the Solan Lochs into the distillery makes the flavors so unique. It takes time, but patience is our finest virtue and rushing good whisky is just not how we take care of things in Islay. Please drink responsibly.

Laphroaig-10-Year-Old-Islay-Single-Malt-Scotch-Whisky
Touted as the most richly flavored Scotch whisky in the world, Laphroaig 10 Year is a classic peated drink from Islay. The scotch is full-bodied and smoky with a lovely residual sweetness that complements its hints of seaweed and salt. After noting its peaty characteristics, discover a warming finish that lingers in the throat and beckons the taster for more. It's no secret that Scotland is renowned for its whiskies. Iodine-rich scotch from the Islay region is among the country's most characterful drams, with Laphroaig offering one of the most exceptional medicinal malts. The Laphroaig 10 Year is the company's entry-level scotch, which boasts a medium caramel color when poured into a glass. Scents of smoke, decay, salt, charcoal, leather and wet stone hit the nose, opening up to herbal ocean tones, peanut butter fudge and a sweet gumminess. The first impression Laphroaig leaves on the palate is a playful dance between the salty and sweet. You'll note impressions of sea spray and breakfast porridge on the finish, fading to that classic smoky peat for which Islay whiskies are known. Like all Scotch whiskies, Laphroaig 10 Year is best enjoyed neat or with a little water added. It's also perfectly acceptable to drink on the rocks. Seriously, we won't judge. Feel free to experiment with cocktails like the Velvet Smoking Jacket, a perfectly smoky cocktail made with Laphroaig, Mezcal, Velvet Falernum and orange bitters. Shake with ice, strain and serve the cocktail neat with a simple lemon peel garnish. Buy Laphroaig Scotch Whisky 10 Year online at a great price through Drizly and have it delivered directly to your door or pick it up in store. In 1815, Ardbeg’s founder established our Distillery on the rugged, wild coastal rocks of South Islay. Over 200 years later, we’re still using our unique peat-laden wild water source and wisdom handed down through generations to craft the Ultimate Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Matured in ex-bourbon American Oak and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, Uigeadail - pronounced ‘Ooga-dal’ – is Gaelic for ‘dark and mysterious place’, named after the Ardbeg’s water source, Loch Uigeadail. Caol-Ila-12-Year-Single-Malt-Scotch
Melt into the rich flavor of Caol Ila 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. With a subdued, citric fruitiness and a sweet start, our whisky ends with a lengthy, slightly sour finish. Consider pairing our 86 proof whisky with the provincial olive dish, tapenade, which helps bring out Caol Ila's peaty and salty notes, while the mix of capers and herbs accentuates the citrus flavors. Perfect on its own or mixed in a cocktail, our award-winning whisky is best enjoyed when served neat in a rocks glass, adding ice or a splash of water for taste. Caol Ila is pronounced “Cull Eela”. For more than 100 years, small coal-fired “puffers” like the SS Pibroch brought barley, coal and empty casks to the distillery, returning her whisky to the mainland through the Sound of Islay. Today, Caol Ila’s secret bay is only known to true Islay devotees. The barley used here is still malted locally at Port Ellen and pure spring water still rises from limestone in nearby Loch Nam Ban, then falls to the sea at Caol Ila in a clear crystal stream, just as it always has.

Bowmore 12 Years Old has received much critical acclaim; the late, great whisky writer Michael Jackson proclaimed it "remarkably long and complex". Laphroaig Quarter Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Laphroaig-Quarter-Cask-Single-Malt-Scotch-Whisky
Laphroaig Quarter Cask Single Malt Whisky offers an irresistible doubling of flavour, due to the double maturation in two barrels made of American oak. Still-maturing whisky from our standard ex-bourbon barrels is transferred to quarter casks and left to rest in our warehouse just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic shore. This process represents Laphroaig breathing new life into a once-defunct tradition: the use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creating a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig’s distinctive peatiness. On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil. The finish is long and alternates between this sweetness and smoke.

Laphroaig-Triple-Wood-Islay-Single-Malt-Whisky
This expression of our famous whisky, from the remote island of Islay in the Western Isles of Scotland, has enjoyed a triple maturation in 3 types of cask. Just as with our standard Quarter Cask expression, the first maturation is in American oak, ex-Bourbon Barrels. We then select the most suitable of these barrels, containing a range of different aged spirit and transfer into small 19th Century style Quarter Casks for a second maturation. The final maturation is in specially selected, large European oak, Oloroso Sherry Casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV and is non-chill filtered for a depth of taste and texture.

Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram. Like the whirlpool itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted! PORT CHARLOTTE SINGLE MALTS, PEATED TO A HEAVYWEIGHT 40PPM, REPRESENT OUR ONGOING EXPLORATION INTO THE PEAT FIRED LEGACY OF A GREAT DISTILLERY, NOW SILENT. Two miles south of Bruichladdich, hugging the shore of Loch Indaal, lies the village of Port Charlotte and ruins of Lochindaal Distillery, that ran spirit for 100 years between 1829 and 1929. Following his visit here in 1885 Alfred Barnard wrote: "Peat only is used in drying the malt, fired in open chauffeurs", a testament supported in a few surviving faded photographs showing the huge peat stacks waiting to be fed to the kiln fires. Our heavily peated Port Charlotte single malts are a tribute to the men who once worked this great, now silent, distillery and the skills and legacy they passed on. Trickle distilled in our cathedral-like still house at Bruichladdich, the spirit is then matured in the original old stone warehouses in Port Charlotte. Living proof that peat can mean elegance.

The Amontillado barrels give it a rich burnt orange colour. The nose starts off with dusty, gentle cinnamon hints and then distinctive lemon zest. This moves into earthy figs and dates before nutty, creamy brazil nuts come to the fore. This complex nose then changes with elements of carbolic soap before finally finishing with a lovely lingering salted liquorice note.

Bruichladdich Port Charlotte MRC: 01

Bruichladdich-Port-Charlotte-MRC:-01
With over 200 different cask types maturing in our warehouses, our cask exploration series showcases the influence of wood on our heavily peated spirit. Bottled at 59.2% alcohol and in limited numbers, we introduce the Port Charlotte MRC:01 2010. Distilled from 100% Scottish barley, from the Invernesshire region, this sweet and fruity spirit has spent time in first fill American whiskey casks and second fill French wine casks. These component parts have been combined and matured for an extra year in the finest French oak from the Bordeaux left bank. Nose – Initially you are met with a summer fruit and peat smoke extravaganza! Raspberry and cherry, with Turkish delight and smoky driftwood embers burst from the glass jostling for attention. There is a distinctly summer feel to this dram, no brooding peat monster it has a light, bright and fruity air. As the whisky opens you find the Islay sea breeze, ozone and salty. The oak, both American and French give real depth to the dram, classic vanilla, toasted bread, chocolate, roasted coffee beans, liquorice walnut and almond. Each time you go back to the glass there seems to be a bubble of red berry and ripe plum bursting under your nose. Palate – Certainly warming at 59.2%, lively and sweet with icing sugar and marshmallow, bound in smoke. There is a rush to capture all that is taking place. Sweet red fruit and peat smoke melt away slightly as the power of the oak comes through with tobacco leaf and toasted oak. Maple syrup, pecan and coffee are complimented by hints of orange and cooked peach. There is a complexity here that didn’t seem possible on the first sip. As you go back to the glass that initial rush of flavour has become a more complete experience. Nowthere is salt spray, dry smoke and the oak is more prominent, raspberry and plum combine with vanilla and butterscotch. Finish – On the finish the peat smoke is a little more medicinal than normal, think bandages and creosote. A dryness from the oak tells of the toasting of the French and the char of the American and the final combination in premium French oak together. The influence of the extra maturation in sumptuous first growth casks has added a layer of fruit that weaves its way through the smoke and into the heart of the whisky. The spirit is viscous and textured allowing a long finish where creamy vanilla, spicy clove and ripe peach melt away from the powerful peat smoke allowing it to finish alone, leaving the Port Charlotte DNA firmly in place. Character – Lively, sunny, rosy, a wonderful experience and superb combination of fruit laden French oak, strong peat smoke and Islay maturation.
