There aren’t many constants in life. Two that we can rely on at FM are that water from cool, clear first magnitude springs are a constant 72 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, and that hops never fail to make us smile. 72 pale ale is a beer for the hop lover. It has a prominent citrus and somewhat floral aroma paired with a bready malt note in the background. The beer has an enticing, light copper color and is balanced, but leans decidedly towards the hops in its flavor and aroma. It is medium-bodied with a semi-dry finish that leaves a lingering herbal/spicy sense on the tongue. 72 features American two-row as a base malt with Munich malt to balance the hop flavor and Crystal malt to provide color and a bit of sweetness. Chinook hops provide the bittering while Cascade and Centennial hops are used for flavor and aroma. The aroma is enhanced by dry hopping.
